"Perfect getaway for a quiet relaxing time with family"

We had read all the reviews on rural roosts, so we expected something nice, but no review or photo can do the accommodation and its location full justice. It is perfect for a quiet getaway and our only worry was that the place wouldn't feel 'Christmassy' enough. We shouldn't have worried, we arrived to a fully decorated 6ft Christmas tree in the lounge. We stayed in the lapwing lodge and I cannot rate the accommodation highly enough. There was plenty of room for the 6 of us that stayed there and every home provision was catered for. We went on some great walks with the dogs and came home totally relaxed. Would really like to experience the place in Spring or Summer also, we might catch some fish then too!!! Thank you Katie for a lovely break.

"Fabulous relaxing holiday in luxury accommodation and beautiful surroundings"

Have been to Rural Roosts several times and stayed in Lapwing, Teal and Kingfisher with various members of the family. Always had a great time. Made very welcome by Tim and Katie - nothing is too much bother. Lovely to have a welcome pack and lemon drizzle cake. Fishing at the lake and reservoir have always been a great success. Lots of interesting places to visit locally. Great to see the wildlife and farm life. Will be visiting again in October (our third visit in 2013).

"Fantastic Accommodation, Relaxing environment and beautiful surroundings"

We have been visiting Rural Roosts each year since 2007 and it just gets better each time we visit! Katie and Tim make you feel most welcome and each cabin is well equipped to individual needs. It's really is home from home. We arrived home yesterday and are already discussing our return for next year! If you looking for 5* accommodation set within idyllic surroundings then Rural Roosts is perfect for you. We have visited as a couple and with our family's including nan and my sisters toddlers and their really is no better place for family's to relax together and just chill out....

"Absolutleyi Fabulous, great chill out factor"

We had a Great week;s stay in Lapwing Cabin, really 5* quality, especially the welcome pack. The weather wasnt that great, but fishing & relaxton really made up for this. Great local Pub, Carpenters Arms, foos excellent as was The Ivy Pub in Wragby. There are some lovely walks at Rural Roost's, and Katie & Co, were really helpful and welcoming. The cabin sleeps 6 people, everything was catered for, easy access to site and Lakes. Would thoroughly recommend this holiday, not only for the Fisherman, but for those seeking Solice. We will definetly be back next year 2014.

"Wonderful Christmas and New Year"

First time we have ever gone away for Christmas, but won't be the last. We all had such a great time, from us oldies down to the little Grandchildren. The log cabin is lovely, very well equipped, very comfortable and very warm..we couldn't fault it..The owners, Katie and Tim, make you feel very welcome..and the welcome pack in the cabin is a lovely touch.
There were baby donkeys and lambs in the barn which you could walk up and see, it was a bit too cold for the fishing but we fished there in the summer and enjoyed it. Not too far into Lincoln, a lovely place to visit. We also went back to The Kinema in The Woods at Woodhall Spa..well worth visiting.. And Boxing Day we were on the beach at Skegness!
If you are looking for peace and quiet and a relaxing break, this is the place..can't wait to return.

What a lovely setting these lodges have, very nicely positioned overlooking the fishing lake. The lodges are very nice, clean and comfortable. Nice position for visiting Lincoln. Plenty of walks around the farm and surrounding area.

"an ideal place for a family holiday"

Badger lodge where we stayed was the best equipped holiday let we have ever had. It was ideally suited to a family with a toddler and to grandparents alike. The extra details such as tea, coffee and sugar together with the fruit and milk were especially welcome, as was the lemon cake!
It was in a peaceful setting within reach of many interesting places. A good place to come back to after a day out. Also there were not to many lodges/people so we all had plenty of space.
My only moan would be that dogs had to be on a lead everywhere. As a owner with a dog that love to run, it was a little difficult at times. I feel there could have been a field set aside where dogs could let off some steam.
We really love the wildlife about and it was a good place for bird watching.
with a disabled husband, I was very satisfied with the help given and with the space in the lodge for him to move about.

"Instant relaxation"

Attentive hosts, little details make this such a home from home (including lemon drizzle cake) and such a great location too. Stranded for a week whilst snow caused havoc and Tim armed with a shopping list and a four wheel drive did our shopping, with calls to see if we were ok - it's such a pleasant change to find people who care. Money doesn't buy this!
