About the home
Arbre de Cerise is a beautiful 400 year old farmhouse that has been lovingly restored and converted into three gites. Marguerite is our 3 bedroom gite, sleeping 6 people, with far reaching views over sunflower and poppy field. It looks out onto the peaceful, grassed courtyard where our majestic cherry tree stands, providing stunning blossom in early Spring, an abundance of cherries in May and cooling shade in the height of summer.
Across the courtyard is a large barn and traditional French bread oven for guests to explore and enjoy. In the garden beyond the courtyard you can find our stunning new 10m x 5m HEATED swimming pool. The landscaped pool area is furnished with plenty of sun loungers and shaded tables for enjoying lazy days and convivial evenings.
All of the gites are being refurbished at the end of 2010 to provide high quality, comfortable and well equipped living accommodation, combining every modern convenience with the character features of each property. Exposed stone walls, oak beams, 18th century fireplaces, plus a host of other original features, lend character and charm to the properties.

Guestbook for Marguerite, Arbre de Cerise
"We had a wonderful time at Arbre de Cerise and it was lovely for all the family to be together again. We spent lots of time by/in the pool and some of the children grew webbed feet by the end, they hardly had time to eat they were having so much fun. We cycled around the countryside, some walked, some jogged and some just lazed. It was wonderful. We went to a local Ferme Auberge one evening just outside Sauze for a jazz/dinner evening which was fun and visited the villages nearby and had a shopping spell in Poitiers. We sat out under the tree most evenings for dinner." Mrs Tilt, Hampshire
"We really enjoyed our stay in France it was a shame the weather was not a little warmer so that we could have enjoyed the lovely pool. We enjoyed a cycle ride to Chaunay every morning for bread and croissants but it appears to close on a Thursday. Overall we were very impressed with the gite and its equipment and will not
hesitate to recommend it. Thanks." Alan, Gloucestershire
"A lovely location and exceptionally well-equipped, comfortable gite - home from home standard. "
Mrs Felton, West Midlands
"Just a short stay this time but we'll be back - it was the ideal choice for a relaxing break: in a quite rural area yet only 10 mins to shops, restaurants, markets etc. Thanks.
