The Poitou-Charentes/Vendee region

We are situated of the edge of the Vienne midway between the historic towns of Poitiers and Angouleme. The climate in this beautiful region of south west France ensures reasonably mild winters and warm summer days.

Fascinating local villages with markets, churches, fine bars and restaurants as well as an extensive range of local facilities and amenities are all within a short drive. Lakes for swimming, cycling, walking, water sports and fishing are nearby. Just 15 minutes away at beautiful, historic St Macoux is a beach with swimming which is very popular with the children.

The medieval towns of Civray, Chef Boutonne and Chateau Jarvazay all have excellent markets, restaurants and festivals during the summer months.

Four of the best golf courses in the region can be found close to Poitiers and they attract golfers of national and international reputation.
