The house has an enormous open plan kitchen, large dining room with table that seats 12, toilet, garage, laundry room and large drawing room with french windows both to the garden with a new 7.5 x 3 m pool and the partly covered courtyard at the rear. The 5 bedrooms are furnished with antique Lois xvi and Henri 11 pieces in keeping with a house of it’s age and style and comprise of 3 doubles ( one en suite) 1 twin and a family room (a double and two single beds) . There is one further bathroom and toilet on the first floor. The house is equipped with all the mod cons including dvd player sky tv ( you get the basic English channels) if you want more bring your sky card if you have one), small dvd and book library, board games and cd player.. The pool is alarmed and the front gate has a key, so the house and gardens are fully self contained and child friendly.

The Languedoc-Roussillon / Aude region
This is a beautiful region of France where vineyards and sunflowers abound. Wine tasting is everywhere including in the village itself. Thr Pyrenees are visible from many places locally and easily reached. The location is wonderful too for visiting the many Cathar castles and of course the fairytale ancient cité of old Carcassonne is a must for young and old alike. The "rose" city of Toulouse makes a great day out and of course the mediterranean beaches are little over an hour away and only 2 hours to the borders with Spain.
Limoux / Pieusse area
The house is located in a village called Pieusse and is situated approximately 3km from Limoux. Pieusse is typical of a sleepy circulade village of the region where the pace of life is very slow but you may find yourself here when there is a local fete and then there will be dancing in the streets literally. Limoux just 3km away is renowned for its sparkling wine Blanquette de Limoux said to predate champagne. It has to be tried and where better that at the summer night market held every week in July and August. Market day is every Friday in Limoux and Monday in the medieval and historic square of Mirepoix.
How to get there
Drive using A61 motorway, 20 mins from Carcassonne junction (23). Fly to Toulouse, just over 1 hours drive away. Perpignan airport 1 hour 45 mins drive Carcassonne 20 mins drive. Barcelona Girona airport is 2.5 hours drive away.
