Large well equipped town centre house, ideal for couples or families, nearby vineyards, hills and breath-taking views of the Pyrenees. In the centre of the masquerade carnival market town of Limoux and natural woodland along the river Aude.
Modernised 200 year old property, your very own bit of the Aude.
This unique house is charming and so unusual. A lovely hallway leads to an open plan fully fitted kitchen and lounge area. The separate, more formal lounge also contains 2 bed settees for extra guests. There is a double room upstairs with ensuite shower room and at the top of the house a bedroom containing two double beds and and an ensuite shower room. 'There is plenty of outdoor space with a large terrace on the first level and a smaller, more private terrace on the top floor.
This house is ideal for families, extended families and groups of couples.
Town centre retreat offering total privacy. Escape where no-one will find you and taste the local life-style and rich scenery at your own pace. If you seek adventure there is white-water-rafting, horse-riding, ancient castles, forests and streams to explore. All-year-round fun with Mediterranean beach sunbathing and Pyrenees Mountain skiing.

The Languedoc-Roussillon / Aude region
Visualise field after field of vineyards and sunflowers.
This is a beautiful region of France where the Pyrenees are visible from many places locally and easily reached.
Steeped in medieval history the location is wonderful for visiting the many Cathar castles and of course the fairytale ancient cité of old Carcassonne (filmed in Camelot and documented in the Da Vinci code) a must for young and old alike.
The "rose" city of Toulouse, Mediterranean beaches and Pyrenees mountains make great days out and are close to an hour away.
The Limoux area
Limoux is a bustling riverside market town with a good variety of shops and restaurants in and around the traditional market square which is a TWO MINUTE walk from the house.
There are numerous activities within short distances, water sports including indoor and outdoors swimming pool, rafting and kayaks. Horse riding, hiking, skiing in winter in the glorious Pyrenees.
There are many festivals throughout the year in Limoux centred around the market square - the main carnival is from December to April with events most nights of the week and at weekends, the costumes are stunning and the party mood runs throughout the town.
A must is driving through the breathtaking gorges of the Aude and taking the waters in the natural spa's of Alet les Bains and Rennes les Bains. Something for everyone!
