Amathus, with its exclusive properties and villas was once a kingdom and its historical site is well worth a visit as is the submerged old town for scuba enthusiasts. It benefits from some of the islands best restaurants - Italian, Japanese, International, Lebanese & Russian. Golf courses are currently 30 mins away.

Parekklisia (the district) now has a golf driving range. The village of Parekklissia (4kms away) is typically Cypriot as are the surrounding villages of Ayios Tychonas, Moutagiaka, Moni & Monogrouli - each with their choices of restaurants and windy streets.

The apartment lived up to our expectation, it was very well equipped and the rooms gave a great feeling of space. The sea views were fantastic and the property was clean and well maintained. From the balcony we also had a clear view of the swimming pool.

We spent every morning, except one, enjoying breakfast on the beautiful balcony overlooking the inviting pool and the blue sea. Although it was early in the season, end of March, we actually needed the parasol for shade! Mary, from the Red Umbrella Management, was charming and helpful, and we exchanged many emails with the friendly owners before the holiday.

This location has to be one of the best in Cyprus - and we know the island well.

My partner and I enjoyed our holiday here immensley - it was ideal for the holiday that we had planned ie. quiet location with lovely pool, gardens and large terrace for catching those final rays of sunshine. The apartment was spacious, clean and modern and very well equipped.
