Here guests can enjoy alfresco dining and sunbathing whilst taking in the pleasing surrounding and mountain scenery.

A separate kitchen provides convenient modern appliances for preparing delicious meals during your stay, with a gas hob oven, microwave, coffee machine, electric kettle and dishwasher.

The Lombardy / Lake Como Area region

The Italian Lakes are a little slice of paradise. Elegant ribbons of blue water stretch out ahead, folded into the sun-baked foothills, with a spectacular back drop of the snow-capped Alps.
Lake Como offers hidden treasures just waiting for the visitor to discover them: charming corners forgotten by time, lakeside villages where nothing seems to have changed for centuries.
It is steeped in history with an immense collection of churches, architectural masterpieces and works of art covering the centuries. The lake is situated in a basin surrounded by wooded mountains, and offers an extremely varied landscape, with its' shores featuring a succession of pastures, and woods as well as harsh and impressive rock formations.
All this alongside elegant, lakeside villas with sub-tropical gardens, which provide a haven of peace and tranquillity and chic resorts such as Varenna, Bellagio, Menaggio and Como itself.
Warming, in spriing and graced with natural beauty, the lakes are still a place to draw breath and wonder. Lake Como, oriented north-south, ringed by characterful old villages often wedged onto narrow beaches between rugged cliffs and water. Those classic lake images of flower strewn balconies, Baroque gardens and splendid waterside villas can be found here in abundance. Dotted around and between the lakes are some of Italy's finest art cities, such as Milan, Verona & Bergamo.

The most romantic and picturesque villages on the lake are Santa Maria Rezzonico, Varenna (15 min by ferry) & Bellagio (8 min by ferry), Lenno (visit Villa Balbianello, location for 007's Casino Royale as well as Villa Gaeta, right here in Menaggio) & Laglio (where George Clooney owns Villa Oleandra).

The Lierna area

Lierna is a picturesque and bustling little village with a wide range of amenities on offer including cafes, wine bars, restaurants and an idyllic lakefront which leads past the popular ‘La Riva Bianca’, Lake Como’s largest shingle beach and extremely popular with local and residents of all ages. Boat hire is also available at the Nautica Gigio and nature lovers can enjoy the hillside and lakefront trails.

The picturesque golden triangle resort town of Varenna is just an 11 minute’s drive away and boasts an utterly charming medieval quarter, cafe-lined piazzas, lake view restaurants, the botanical Villa Monastero gardens and a romantic promenade which leads to the car and passenger ferry port and to the mountain trail which leads up to famous ancient Castello di Vezio.

Activities on the central lake will leave guests spoilt for choice with boat hire, canoeing, water sports, paragliding, horse riding, swimming, golf, tennis, Skiing, hiking, cycling, sea plane trips and cultural excursions to Villa Melzi, Villa Balbianello, Villa Carlotta and the historical and commercial Como city.

Daytrips can also easily be enjoyed to the famous western shore Villas, the beautiful resort town of Bellagio with its pretty shop lined lakefront and hillside extreme sport centre, the nearby family-friendly Ski resorts of Cainallo, Valtellina, Madesimo and St Moritz and by also taking the Lierna train service via Lecco to explore the cosmopolitan delights of the fashionable Lombardy capital of Milan.
