About this location
The Murcia region
Costa Calida boasts over 350 days of sunshine each year. As well as top range Spanish resorts, with excellent beaches, the region offers a large number of attractions to suit all ages and interests, from typical Spanish towns to the bustle of Murcia city with its shops and historical sites, beautiful Lorca with its history and music and fabulous countryside. Other local attractions include a water park near Murcia, vineyards in Jumilla, boat trips out of Cartagena, Roman sites and even "The Guns of Navaronne" near La Azohia. Most local towns have a weekly Spanish market offering bargains and fresh produce. From Easter to October, regular local fiestas add an extra spark of interest with colourful processions and dazzling firework displays. The region is typically Spanish, the people are extremely friendly and helpful and the area is as yet largely unspoilt by the tourist trade.
Librilla is a typical small Spanish town. There are a wide range of local shops, bars and restaurants and a Thursday market. The town itself has several fiestas during the year. It is situated between the two national parks of Carrascoy and Espuna. Nightlife is low-key and laid back but shops, bars and eating houses are open late, as you would expect in a typical Spanish town. Nearby Alhama, Totana and Mazarron offer much more, but still retain that Spanish flavour with quiet plazas and pavement bars. Paramount World (a theme park to rival Disneyland) is due to open in 2015 and is situated only 20 minutes drive from the villa.

Villa is lovely and the pool was glorious. Ideally situated as only three and a half minutes from the motorway but you wouldn't even know there was a motorway there when you sat on the terrace. … More

"An idyllic out of the world paradise!"
We stayed at Casa Molina for 3 weeks in August 2013. The villa is a true home from home and is much bigger than it looks in the photos. It had all the amenities that you could want and the pool was cr… More

"Simply the best"
If we could go back tomorrow we would be on our way now.
Communications with Phil the owner were faultless & he is to be congratulated on his professionalism.
Casa Molina is very much a home from home & I would not hesitate to recommend it to any one seeking a relaxing break away from the hustle & bustle
of daily life.
Check out La Caverna(flint stones) in Los Ventrillos amazing restaurant.

"Great holiday home and a fun holiday"
Casa Molina is a fantastic home from home. Set in its own very private grounds it is a beautiful villa with a well needed pool. It was very hot while we were there!
It is well situated to make a great base to visit local towns and cities all of which are beautiful.
The local town is Librilla and the people are very welcoming and friendly (even if your Spanish isn't that great).
We have a great week and Phil the owner is very helpful. We are definitely thinking of returning again.
Thanks very much. We're so glad you had a great time this year and it would be absolutely brilliant to have you all stay again.

"Stunning scenery, peaceful, relaxing and fully equipped!"
This year was the second time we stayed at Casa Molina. You need to have a car to get there however, it's well worth it. The villa is surrounded by lemon groves and has views of the stunning scenery of the mountains of the national park from the pool! The villa itself is beautiful and has everything you need - from dishwasher to swimming pool. It is also a short drive from many supermarkets, restaurants and beaches. We have had days out in Cartagena, Mazzaron, Alhama, Alicante and even Benidorm! On this visit we had a couple of days in Gibraltar in the middle of our two week stay. Phil and Sarah provide a great welcome brochure as well as a library full of books and leaflets including suggestions on places to visit, novels and phrase books! We are going back again in June and we can't wait. Hopefully, we'll be back next year too!
Thanks very much for your review. We hope this year's visit to Casa Molina will be even better!

"Out Of This World!"
We love this place - its our second time here and we'll be going back in summer 2012. If you're after complete peace and tranquility it doesn't get much better than this - exactly what we were after. After our first visit we were actually so relaxed that it took us a couple of days to get back to normal!
Lovely casa, which is bigger than the pictures suggest, although we spent virtually all our time outside, in and around the pool, and ate al fresco every day and evening. Plenty of daily markets selling enormous fresh fruit and veg and, if you can be bothered to go out(!) a wonderful unspoilt beach about half an hour away (Porcheles) The area is refreshingly tourist free, and it's quite unusual to hear another English voice, which we loved.
All in all, a great place to go if you need to re-charge your batteries and get away from it all. Lovely, helpful owners too. Highly recommended for a great holiday.
We're really pleased you have enjoyed Casa Molina so much and we hope your third visit will be every bit as good.
