Extensive views over the countryside and nearby national parks of Carrascoy and Espuna surround the property and ensure privacy and seclusion, yet with excellent road-links only a few minutes away. The local town of Librilla offers bars, restaurants, shops and a weekly market, only 5 minutes away. A wider range of facilities can be found in larger local towns within 15 minutes and the attractive and fashionable seaside resorts of Mazarron and Cartagena are only half an hour away.

The Costa Calida/Murcia region
Costa Calida boasts over 350 days of sunshine each year. As well as top range Spanish resorts, with excellent beaches, the region offers a large number of attractions, from typical Spanish towns to the bustle of Murcia city with its shops and historical sites. Most local towns have a weekly Spanish market offering bargains and fresh produce. From Easter to October, regular local fiestas add an extra spark of interest with colourful processions and dazzling firework displays. The region is typically Spanish, the people are extremely friendly and helpful and the area is as yet largely unspoilt by the tourist trade.
Librilla area
Librilla is a typical small Spanish town. There are a wide range of local shops, bars and restaurants and a Thursday market. The town itself has several fiestas during the year. It is situated between the two national parks of Carrascoy and Espuna. Nightlife is low-key and laid back but shops, bars and eating houses are open late, as you would expect in a typical Spanish town. Nearby Alhama, Totana and Mazarron offer much more, but still retain that Spanish flavour with quiet plazas and pavement bars.
How to get there
There are direct motorway links from both San Javier (Murcia) and Alicante airports, about 40 mins and an hour from the property respectively - detailed, simple to follow directions are provided and the drive is straightforward and quiet. Budget Jet2 and Ryanair flights are available daily to both from various UK airports; the flight is only two and a half hours. A wide range of car hire facilities are available at both airports; Goldcar, Centauro and Hertz are all excellent.
