The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Gironde region

This scenic area is known for its famous wines, fruit and market towns. Aquitaine or Gironde is a fascinating and unspoilt region of France. Chateau Buisson is in the heart of the Entre-deux-Mers Bordeaux wine region and vineyards stretch as far as the eye can see. One could spend an entire two week holiday exploring chateaux and wine tasting The area is outstanding in other ways. The coastline is magnificent and Le Bassin d’Arcachon is just under an hour from Perissac (with the highest sand dune in Europe and children's adventure parks) As well as safe and sheltered beaches, the coastline here supports a thriving oyster and fishing industry.

Close by St.Emilion is a pretty hilltop town with spectacular views of the countryside and wonderful ambiance and cuisine, visit on a warm evening just to sit outside dining in the square.

The chateau has thick walls and stays cool in the hot weather. There are fans provided for exceptionally hot summers.
All sheets and towels provided, lots of children's games videos table tennis , battery operated cars to drive , hammocks to lie in swings to swing in !
