We come here as often as we can for the sunshine, the pure mountain air, the peace and natural beauty, the mountain culture and friendliness.
The whole Lake Geneva area, including France, with so many activities, cultures and languages to choose from, is a holiday dream land. And there is easy access to other alpine, valley and lake regions and high altitude glaciers as well.
The possibility of regular rail and bus access without a car is very important to us in these days of high petrol cost.
Leysin is 14 km / 20 minutes by car and 30 minutes by mountain train for 1,000 meters altitude difference above the valley. Down in the valley : Chillon and Aigle castles, Bex salt mines, thermal baths, golf-courses, nature reserves, vinyards, amusement and aquatic parks, lake Geneva paddle steamers, Europe' biggest steam model railway
park, Montreux Jazz festival, International art galleries, other ski stations and mountain rack and museum
railways, aerodrome for altitude gliding, helicopter mountain access.

Leysin / Feydey area

Very rich.
Leysin was the original world centre for the sunshine treatment of tuberculosis until the advent of anti-biotics.

- Cheap flights available from Easyjet.co.uk and ski charters to Geneva airport about 2 hours away by road and rail.
- International flights available to Zurich airport about 4 hours away.
- Wide choice of carhire companies at both airports.
- Train and bus connections to 200 meters away.
- Will meet and return by arrangement, or arrange taxi.
- Be aware that snow can be 1-2 meters deep but road access always cleared of snow.
- The Telecabin is 600 meters below the Residence by the main road. Ski in and out only at height of season.
