A perfect example of the welcoming cottage, this 150 year old stone Mill House is one of the most picturesque holiday cottages in Yorkshire. A gentle stream trickles past outside and countryside footpath walks lead direct from the front door. Northern England region

The Yorkshire Dales is home to over 1,500 square kilometres of the renowned Yorkshire Dales National Park, which is characterised by its unspoilt Dales villages, patchwork of dry stone walls and stunning fells and dales countryside.
Visitors are able to travel for miles along quiet country roads, surrounded by magnificent views in every direction; an area dotted with ancient farming communities and rural villages which is typical of this region.
This area is perfect for a truly relaxing holiday away from all the stresses and strains of day to day life, where you rediscover a gentler pace of life. It's also great for enjoying a whole host of outdoor pursuits including some of the very best walks in the UK.

There is a country pub just a 500 yard walk down the road where you can also collect basic supplies and provisions. The bustling market town of Leyburn is within comfortable walking distance as well, just two miles away. Leyburn contains several interesting attractions from a Teapottery that makes novelty teapots to a chocolate workshop and even its own cinema. There are also many antique galleries and auction houses as well as arts and crafts workshops to explore. Cottages in Yorkshire don't get much more picture postcard than this.
