Nearby Leyburn has a variety of craft shops and galleries, plus a chocolate maker, antiques auction house and a Teapottery which produces novelty teapots.
Masham has two breweries worth visiting, Theakston's and Black Sheep and for the kids Lightwater Valley Amusement Park is a popular day out.
