Electric radiators with woodburning stove in sitting room. Electric oven, halogen hob, microwave, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher, TV, DVD player, stereo/CD player. All fuel, power and initial supply of logs for woodburner inc. in rent. Bed linen inc. in rent. Cot, highchair and stairgate provided. Ample free, roadside parking in the village square, almost opposite the cottage. Small sitting out area by the front door. Two well-behaved dogs welcome (second dog at a charge of £15 per week) - dogs not allowed upstairs or on furniture. Sorry, no smoking. Shops and pub 1 minute walk.

Note: In 2009 bed linen and towels are inc. in the rent. From January 2010 bed linen is inc. in the rent but guests must bring their own towels.Note: In 2009 two well behaved dogs are welcome at no charge. From Jan 2010 two well behaved dogs are still welcome with no charge for bringing one dog, but with a £15 charge per week for a second dog.

The Leyburn / Middleham area
The attractive town of Middleham is in beautiful Wensleydale and has a wealth of history, much of it tied to the Norman castle which dates back to 1190 and has a keep that is only surpassed in size by the Tower of London. Middleham is also well known for its racehorses and it is a marvellous sight to see them as they make their way to the gallops every morning. The ancient market square is cobbled and there are a variety of shops and eateries clustered around it. Leyburn is just two and a half miles away for more shops or why not take the chance to discover The Forbidden Corner - a unique maze of tunnels and chambers. This area makes a fabulous base to explore this stunning region.

The cottage was in a very good location for walking & visiting surrounding areas, this property would not be good for anyone who is elderly due to the amount of stairs, although this was not a problem for our party. The cottage was well equipped although in need of a freshen up as starting to look tired. On the whole though a lovely cottage and enjoyed the stay. |

The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.
"Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
