About the home

The stylish new two storey villa-apartment has a touch of luxury and has been decorated with care. The properties are accessed directly from the unspoilt pebble beach.

The main entrance leads into a spacious open plan living/dining area, tastefully decorated in a simplistic Hellenic style with a smooth cool stone floor. Double balcony doors open onto a terrace, giving direct access onto the beach.

A home away from home. Every thing one could need. Just pack your clothes and personal items and come to paradise.

The fireplace take care of any early/late/out of season chills and air conditioning cools the summer heat. Television/ music system are provided. Adjoining is the kitchen where all 21st Century kitchen conveniences (oven, microwave, etc.) are carefully placed so as not to detract from the overall traditional simplicity of the design. They have everything you require for self-catering and more, and that wonderful view of the Aegean just beyond the window sill.

The house has two stylish designed bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and their own air conditioning units. One bedroom has a spacious double bed and the other has twin beds that can be pushed together if needed. All bedrooms have their own balcony doors from which one can view that fabulous fabulous view.

Few places in Greece, the Aegean, or even Lesvos, have this kind of view, the tiny picturesque fishing harbour to the left, and then across the straits of Toukmakia to the purple hills of Asia Minor.

Just open the door and walk straight out on to the beach at magical Skala Mystegna. And what a beach it is - the beautiful white pebbles, truly crystal blue waters of the Aegean, without the crowds.

The house offers a special kind of seclusion - it's as if the beach is your own.

Lesvos is the third largest island of Greece but still so unknown with many undiscovered places. A North-Eastern island with cool sea. So refreshing!

There are stunning walks around the coast and hills. And of course; the whole island which many people say is like the whole of Greece in miniature.

The Lesbos / Lesvos Island / Skala Mystegna area

This idyllic holiday destination is perfect for those seeking peace and seclusion, or 'to get away from it all'. Even in high season the beach remains low key and sparsely populated. There are three tavernas and one cafenion close by, (at least one of these establishments is guaranteed to be open year round). We do recommend car hire to our guests, to give quicker access to other amenities close by: if you would like assistance in this matter please ask us.

Lesvos is the third largest island of Greece yet unknown to many. Lesvos is also know as Mytilene which is the capital. (MJT)
Direct flights to Lesvos from most European countries during the summer months or one can arrive via Athens.
Flight takes 40 to 50 minutes to Mytilene airport or one can take the ferry from Piraeus which takes from 10 to 12 hours.

“Holidays like from a dream” We have spent lovely two weeks in the Kyparissis Beach house. What a magical place! Clear, beautiful sea, the pretty beach where you can relax, have sunbathing and enjoy the scenery - all of it just a few steps from the house! Location is perfect if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful area. The house is clean, nice furnished and well-equiped. The owners are really pleasant and helpful. Traditional food in tavernas nearby was stunning. We felt safe and found the local people very friendly. It was our first time in Greece and we recommend Lesvos totally. We will come back there for sure.

“Kyparissis the beach right outside your door!” Beautiful place to stay. Very clean and the owners very helpful and accommodating. Accommodations for price paid are second to none! The local places to eat are also very affordable and friendly. This is a must place to stay. Secluded but yet close to some of the best sites to see. No car traffic what so ever! Would definitely visit here again.

“Idyllic” These seaside cottages are in a stunning location - a yard from the sea. Our house was very well appointed and although we were only two people the place could actually comfortably have slept six. Everything needed is included; washer, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, a decent cooker,tv, dvd, cuttlery,crockery etc. The house is clean and well-maintained, and everything works. We had one very cold day and we were delighted to find that our beds even had electric blankets! We had lots of visiting (but not over-importunate ) cats and a family of swallows in our porch. Melinda answered all our questions and was willing to help with car hire etc. Kyparissis Bay is small and very friendly and we enjoyed the nearby restaurants. They are considerably more expensive than eating places in Mytilene, but the food is traditional and authentic -frequently the home-cooking of the proprietors, since we were there out of season, and we were so spoiled, that we were deeply disappointed by food on our visits into town. We have already recommended the property to all our friends. You need a car to get there, but be warned - thats all you'll use it for!

“A wonderful place to be......” Looking for a wonderful place to be ? Then it is here........... Syn, sea, a quiet beach (a view locals only) and a good house where you can relax ! Two big bedrooms and two bathrooms with toilets. Everything you need is present. The house is clean and everythings works. Little restaurants in the neighbourhood. The restaurant in the middle is the best; excellent food, friendly people end a beautiful view at the sea. We will be back soon ! Sasha and Herman from Holland.

“wonderful peaceful time close to the sea” "The house is perfect location, on the beach, just a few steps from the sea. You can hear the sea while you are falling asleep. The beach is mixed sand and cobble stones, ideal for the children and water incredibly clear, wonderful blue color, lot of fish when snorkelling. Walking on the beach just about five minutes to the small village, in fact just a few holiday appartment houses and three tavernas and two coffe shops. The tavernas serve excellent local food and fresh fish, daily catch. Local people are very friendly and relaxed. The house is nicely furnished, simple but with taste and every electrical utensil that you can possibly think of. Cleaning lady comes every five days and so the house is kept in very good condition. Extremely quiet place for those who are looking for peace and rest. Also very safe for children (we let our children to go to the village and port by themselves which we can not do where we live now)."

“Absolutely the best vacation experience ever!” What a wonderful vacation home! From the moment we arrived, we were in awe of the beauty of the location and the amenities in the beach house. The photos of the house and views don't quite do justice to the experience we had - it was everything you see in the pics and then some! We really appreciated the thoughtfulness that went in to the furnishings in the house. There was plenty of everything you need - from kitchen tools to beach towels and loungers, and outdoor cafe furniture for breakfasts and cocktail hours spent gazing across at Turkey. The house was spotlessly clean and very well maintained. The beach was amazing and the water was crystal clear, with easy entry for swimming. Our favourite activities included walking along the shoreline, floating in the beautiful Aegean, and eating fresh fish at local tavernas. We look for unique, off the beaten path accommodation and this was the best experience we've had. The process of booking and arriving at the house couldn't have been easier - Melinda made it all go smoothly and was only a phone call away if we needed any help. This is the only travel review I've ever written, and I'm doing it because our time at Kyparissis was the most wonderful vacation experience ever! I highly recommend the Kyparissis Beach Houses.
