Standing in it's own large grounds this charming private chalet is in a stunning location in the pretty & traditional village of Les Allues with easy access to Méribel and The Three Valleys vast ski terrain.

There is private parking for 1 car

Sunday Times review: A welcome trend in the Alps is the colonisation of lower altitude and more characterful mountain villages that missed the first round of ski resort developments, Les Allues is such a place: a few hairpins down from Méribel, it's a small rough hewn settlement, and by far the nicest place to stay in the valley. If you want a more laid back holiday, mixing awesome on-piste skiing in the world's largest ski area, with a lazy day or two catching the sun, you'll love it"

The Rhone/French Alps region

Winter

Snow sure from December to end of April, Méribel is central to the whole of The Three valleys, which now also includes a 4th Valley, Orelle, adjacent to Val Thorens. Les Trois Vallées is the largest linked ski area in the world with over 600kms of well groomed pistes and over 200 linked lifts. Two board parks are easy to access where many competitions take place. After years of skiing here we never get tired and still find new places.

Summer

There are many activities in the area ranging from the extreme sports of river rafting, mountain biking & canyoning, rock climbing etc. Or take lovely long walks through the woods or to remote mountain refuges.

Les Trois Vallees

Skiing & boarding.

Suitable for all grades, including special areas and facilities for young children & beginners. There are a number of off piste runs & colours for experts and four separate board parks. Two in the Meribel valley & one in each of the other valleys.

All grades of skiers & boarders and even those who are only happy on blue runs, can ski the whole of The Three Valleys

Non skiers. many things to do and see. The new Olympic centre has a large indoor pool with mountain views, a Spa, bowling Alley & Ice Rink.

You can also snow shoe walk, take walks through the woods on prepared paths, with a guide if you wish, husky sledge riding, paragliding & ballooning....... or just enjoy lunch in the sun on the top of the mountains.

Summer activities are for all ages from the many & varied extreme sports to more gentle activites such as swimming in crystal clear lakes and lovely mountain walks.

"Perfect cosy base for our family ski holiday"

We have just come back from staying in this sweet chalet in Meribel Les Allues and had a fantastic time. We were 2 adults and 2 boys (11 and 5) and it was just right for us. The bedrooms are not huge but not too small either. The lounge/kitchen area was just right space-wise for us with a lovely fire and all the facilities you need in the kitchen for a week's stay. Gorgeous hot water for après ski baths! Loads of snow-fun opportunity in the area immediately outside the chalet. Beautiful views. Really easy parking area with a short path and a few steps to the chalet. We kept our skis in the car each night and just drove to the car park under the Rhodos lift in Meribel itself (Chaudanne area) - about a 10 minute drive and only €55 for a 7 day ticket in the car park. Just a few steps up from the car park to the main lift area. We could have got the bus or bubble from Les Allues up to Meribel but we found the car option easier. Mary the owner/manager could not have been more helpful and communicative before and during our stay and it was a joy to rent this property. Les Allues is a lovely village with a few bar/restaurant options but we just stayed in most nights and chilled out.

I really appreciate the time you have given to write this very helpful and informative review. Parking under the Rhodos lift is so convenient, but when you do not need to start your day at The Chaudanne area for the ski schools, try parking free by the fast chair lift in Méribel-Village.
I look forward to welcoming you back, for winter skiing or even for a summer activity holiday.

"Cozy chalet near fabulous Meribel"

We stayed 5 adults in this very cozy chalet for Christmas and throroughly enjoyed the Place, and had a great vacation here! The location is very good with easy access within 10-15 minutes to Meribel skiing either by car or by using the Gondolas (5+ min walk). Quite good shopping for high-quality food and wine in the area. We skiied in Meribel, which is amazing - lots of different options (especially for medium level skiiers) and also very nice restaurants in the slopes. There are a few restaurants and bars within walking distance, but much better selection and quality in Meribel proper. Seems most visitors in Meribel were British.

The chalet has a very cozy atmosphere with a great fireplace. Good facilities (tv, dvd, kitchen, wifi, etc). Nice deck (which we didn't get to use much), and interesting view of the valley. Practical parking near the chalet. Rustic style.

Mary, the owner, is super friendly and helpful and she responded quickly to all our questions and inquiries. Everything you need to know is also in a booklet in the chalet - lots of helpful information.

The chalet is quite moderate in size, and especially upstairs the bedrooms and bathrooms are not very large. The beds could have been better. It was perfectly fine for 1 week for 5 adults, though.

Highly recommended!

Thank you very much for your informative and detailed review. It will be very helpful for others looking for the perfect place for their ski holiday or even in the glorious summer.
I am very glad you were comfortable in the chalet.
