About the home

The Hameau des Issambres is situated at the heart of a 15-hectare estate, between the hills and the "garrigue" scrubland. It is set in 2.5 hectares of grounds planted with a mixture of Mediterranean tree species.

The complex, built in typical Provençal style with old Roman tiles, ochre facades, balusters and arches, consists of 2 groups of small buildings with 2 or 3 floors, all set around a large swimming pool.

This property is spacious and airy, with loads of day light making it feels really homely. It is furnished to a highest standard in a contemporary but cosy style, with a comfortable and luxury furnishing.

With loads of space both inside and outside the property, you will have a choice of a relaxing evening on the sofa with a glass of wine or al fresco dining with your family and friends.

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Var region

This area was officially formed during the French Revolution and is famous for its wine. There is also a strong emphasis on agriculture, and many gastronomic delights such as olives and figs can be found here.

Areas to visit include:
- Roquebrune-sur-Argens and its thousand-year-old walled town.
- Cogolin(15 km), capital of craft industries with its pipe and carpet factories. A sailor’s town, with various museums (Raimu Museum, the "Musée des Empreintes et Tradition").
- Ste Maxime (8 km), one of the most popular seaside resorts on the Mediterranean coast with its Phonograph Museum, the Tour Carrée and Museum of Local Traditions.
- Saint Tropez (23 km) with its Annonciade art museum and the Naval Museum in the Citadel.
- The lakeside pile dwellings of Port Grimaud, Grimaud and its Museum of Popular Art (20 km), La Croix Valmer and its coastal path (15 km).

The Les Issambres area

Located between the Massif des Maures and the Massif de l’Esterel, near Ste-Maxime and St-Tropez, les Issambres is a village in the heart of 45 hectares of preserved nature, 3 km from the beach. Inland there are pine and oaks forests and many golf courses in the surrounding area.

Two 18-hole golf courses within a 10-km radius:
- Roquebrune 18-hole golf course (9 km).
- 18-hole Blue Green Ste Maxime golf course (10 km).
Pitch and putt at the Pierre & Vacances "Les Parcs de Grimaud" Residence (15 km).

Water Sports:
- Windsurfing, “optimiste” (small, stable dinghy) sailing, scuba diving, yachting, etc., 3 km away.
- The "Batterie" Water Sports Centre : windsurfing, sailing (catamaran, optimiste). Introductory and advanced, individual or group lessons and courses for adults and children, open from June to September.
- Scuba Diving School Club at the "Espace plongée" diving centre in Les Issambres harbour, open all year.
- St Ferréol Diving Centre, 6 km from the Village. Diving courses and introductory sessions.
- Aqua Dive Diving Centre in Les Issambres harbour.
- Sea excursions: day or half-day boat trips, sea fishing, exploring the Gulfs of St Tropez, St Raphaël and the islands. Regular shuttles to St Tropez from Les Issambres (July/August), Ste Maxime, Port Grimaud.

Tennis:
- Les Issambres Tennis Club, 2 km away, by the sea. 5 quick clay courts (2 floodlit). Courses for all categories. Open all year round.
- Tennis at Roquebrune-sur-Argens. 4 courts.

Hikes:
- Waymarked footpaths from the Coastal Conservatory to the Vallon de la Gaillarde. Tourist hiking trails on the coastal path, guided tours of the forest with the French Forestry Authority, and the back country.

All shops and services are located in Les Issambres, 3 km away. Provencal market in Les Issambres (Mondays) and Roquebrune (Tuesdays and Fridays).
