Les Pradanes is a stone built cottage on the edge of a small river. it has a private enclosed garden for relaxing and al fresco dining as well as a large deck which overlooks the river. In the heart of the Massif du Sancy, just 2km from the historic thermal town of Saint-Nectaire and only 4km from Murol and Lac Chambon , it is well situated for all the activities the region has to offer. The recently opened thermal centre in Saint-Nectaire has a fantastic thermal swimming pool and a beauty spa, great for some pampering after experiencing the vast array of outdoor activities available all year round - walking, rock climbing, horse riding, skiing, and cycling to name but a few.

The Limousin / Auvergne / Puy-de-Dome region
The Auvergne is a fantastic place for a holiday whatever the time of year. It is a region of clean air, fresh water and mountains. There is everything for the outdoor enthusiast, a totally relaxing atmosphere and all the culture and shopping you could wish for in Clermont Ferrand and Issoire. The church architecture is particularly interesting and the spa towns such as La Bourboule and Mont Dore are well worth a visit. The climate of the region is one of proper seasons - Autumn is a fabulous time to visit as the trees turn red and gold and auburn, Summer is warm and sunny, and Winter offers great skiing in the resort of Super Besse. In Spring the fields are full of wild flowers and poppies. There is enough space for everyone to have a wonderful time.
Les Granges / Saint-Nectaire area
Les Pradanes is 2km from the Spa town of Saint-Nectaire with its recently opened Thermal centre. Saint -Nectaire is also famous for its wonderful cheese, its medieval church and the Roman caves. It has a number of bars and restaurants and is a very lively place in Summer. Situated in the valley and surrounded by trees and nature, Les Pradanes is in a peaceful, calm location and yet just minutes by car from many local places of interest such as Murol. Murol is a small town in the Vallee Verte which is dominated by its castle, the Chateau de Murol and surrounded by forests and nature. In Summer, the castle holds jousting events and medieval re-enactments. The town itself has a few nice bars and restaurants and is a very pleasant place to wander around. In Summer there are numerous markets and Brocantes. Les Pradanes is just 25 minutes drive from the ski resort of Super Besse.
How to get there
The Puy de Dome is just 9 hours drive from the ferry ports of Calais and Boulogne. You can also take a budget flight to Limoges and then hire a car ( approxilately 2 hours drive) or take the train from Waterloo to Clermont Ferrand with just one change in Paris .

It has an open plan lving area / kitchen / dining room. The kitchen is modern and well equipped. From the lounge, french windows lead onto the large wooden deck which overlooks the river and the forest .
