About the home

Perfect for those who like to get up the mountain ahead of the queues and have an idyllic ski home at the end of the day, the apartment is light and airy, situated at the entrance to Les Gets only two minutes walk from the Perriere Express Chairlift. It has a beautiful view of the mountains from the windows and balcony, a ski hire shop opposite and a supermarket about 400 metres away. The heart of the charming savoyarde village with its many shops, restaurants and ice rink is 10-15 minutes by foot. Alternatively the free ski bus stops about 50 metres from the apartment regularly, or you can get there by lift and piste.

Fantastic in Summer too; Boasting stunning views Les Gets in spring and summer is perfect for mountain bikers, walkers and with a plethora of activities for children, adolescents and young adults ideal for a family holiday. The apartment is light and airy and has a large terrace for alfresco eating and/or sunbathing.

The owner knows the owner of the next door apartment and it may be possible to rent this apartment also if you have a larger party.

The Rhone / French Alps / Haute-Savoie region

Les Gets has 110km of marked runs itself and is linked to the whole Portes du soleil area (including Morzine and Avoriaz). The full area is 650 km of marked runs, 48 local lifts and 209 lifts in total.

It has the range to satisfy and exhilarate the experienced skier and to nurture the beginners and intermediates. (The indian run with its indian village of teepees is a firm favourite with the children!)

Les Gets has a great "snow park" on Mont Chery; lots of fun for boarders or for skiers wanting to jump.

The village has traditional Savoyard charm with an open air ice rink in the centre in winter, and of course shops and restaurants.

In the summer Les Gets is extremely popular with mountain bikers and walkers. There are also a plethora of acitivities for children and teenagers of all ages which makes it ideal for family holidays. It has stunning views in summer and winter and the town which is charming goes to a lot of effort to entertain tourists with such things as free open air concerts, fetes and firework displays

There is a nursery and provision for small children. It is French but they take English children. Look on the esf website above.
There are also (more expensive) nanny services that come to your accommodation with toys: www.jackfrosts.net or www.cheekymonkeysmorzine.com

There are regular fabulous free activities such as a torch light descent and fireworks organised by the town hall or esf throughout the season. Pick up an "animations" leaflet from the Mairie (townhall) on your arrival so as not to miss out.

“A Great Place To Stay” We have visited Les Gets many times but this was our first stay in this apartment. Great place to stay with a super location, close enough to the slopes and lifts to be, literally,only a few minutes walk away and so nice to see where we are staying as we ski back down at the end of the day. Starting off and finishing at the Perrieres lift has always been our favourite. No queues at all! Inside the apartment was immaculate, comfortable, well cared for and everything working. Ski storage, cave and garage were all really useful and to be in the living room with that view every day was stunning. A terrific value -for- money place to stay and - yes - we've already booked again for next year! Many thanks Lucy.

“Great place to stay in Les Gets” We've been to this apartment for the last two years and will certainly be back again next year! We noticed a big difference this year as the owners have recently invested in the upgrade of the kitchen area to bring it up to date. Although it is not in the centre of the village it's only a stone's throw away from the 6-man express chairlift at Perrieres. In addition, it is close to a stop for the free bus service that gets you to centre of the village in a few minutes. There is plenty of storage space in the cave for muddy boots, jackets, etc and there is access to the garage for skis (or even your car if you choose to drive to your skiing destination!). The main double room boasts en-suite shower and toilet and the mezzanine, although less private, has its own seperate toilet and bathroom. The apartment is also always very warm and toasty and a very pleasant place to unwind with a glass or two of wine after a good day on the slopes!

“Great location,and appartment, real value for money” The discription of the property is very honest. comfortable and convenient for skiers and summer use.Warm with plentiful hotwater for winter, light and airy with balcony for summer, I have stayed here several times and have never been disappointed. we have been six encluding children, and found the room ample with masses of room for clobber. A car is great but not essential,the garage is useful. We have stayed here in the summer as well. Lots for children to do.The new kitchen and layout look great. A great appartment and location for the money.

“Great location, warm and comfy, and great value for money!” The accomodation was really good, all that we needed for 3 small children. The Cave was great for ski stuff and there was enough space upstairs for the kids to play without getting in our way when preparing meals downstairs. The views of the Les Melezes red run were fantastic and watching the locals toboggan down it at the end of the day was a constant source of entertainment for the whole family! We had a 10 day stay and would have happily stayed longer if we had the time. Lucy is a top owner, what she says is what you get, we would not hesitate to re-book again.
