About the home

Chalet des Amies is as its name suggests: cared for and comfortable, with a range of excellent facilities. Set back off the side road, it is wonderfully peaceful yet convenient for all the action offered in Les Gets village and the surrounding resorts of Morzine, Avoriaz etc.

Les Gets offers superb skiing and snowboarding for all abilities and has three ski lifts with access to Morzine, the whole of the Portes du Soleil and the Mont Cherie ski area. It was voted in the top three world ski resorts for families by The Telegraph survey and offers something for all ages.

The location is outstanding:
- 2 minutes walk (even in ski boots) to Le Perrier 6 person chairlift which provides access to the whole of the Portes du Soleil ski area.
- 10 minutes walk to the centre of Les Gets for more ski lifts, bars restaurants, shops etc.
- 5 minutes walk to local supermarket, bar and restaurants
- located on the free bus route
- Ski in to chalet road

Only 1 hour 20 minutes from Geneva airport.

1 double bedroom, 2 twin bedrooms, 1 room with double sofa bed, comfortable lounge with fireplace, Sky TV including Sky Sports, children's games available including X box.

Upstairs bath/shower with sink and w.c., downstairs shower room with vanity unit and separate toilet.
Open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner and additional space comfortably accommodating 8 people. The kitchen is fully equipped with large larder fridge/freezer, oven and hob, dishwasher, toaster and coffee maker.

The Rhone / French Alps / Haute-Savoie region

To the north, Haute-Savoie borders on Switzerland, with Geneva as the closest major town, and Lake Geneva. To the east, Haute-Savoie borders Italy, and to the west the department of Ain. To the south it borders Savoie.

Mont Blanc and Lake Annecy are located in Haute-Savoie, as well as the town of Évian-les-Bains, the most famous town on the French shore of Lake Geneva, and well-known around the world for its mineral water, Evian.

The Les Gets area

Les Gets offers superb skiing and snowboarding for all abilities and has three ski lifts with access to Morzine, the whole of the Portes du Soleil and the Mont Cherie ski area. It was voted in the top three world ski resorts for families by The Telegraph survey and offers something for all ages.
Combined Morzine and Les gets, have around 50 lifts across several distinct ski areas.

There are many companies offering ski lessons both for adults and children, private and public but the main company in the area is ESF

In the winter there is an open air ice rink in the centre of the village.

There are many restaurants ranging from the family friendly and reasonably priced to fairly top end. They mostly specialise in local savoyard cuisine.

In the summer, there are all kinds of evening activities in the centre of town. A lot of emphasis is given to children's entertainment, such as wooden games set out in the street, street performers and a carousel. Live bands regularly perform on the semi-permanent stage in the centre of the village, attracting both locals and tourists.

In the summer, Les Gets hosts many downhill mountain biking events.
Les Gets has a 18hole golf course 5264metres long Par70 overlooking Mont Blanc.
