Les G'rets

St Gervais is a beautiful historic town, dating back to the middle ages that very rare thing, a ski resort with real character and real history. Founded in the Roman era, the town flourished during the middle-ages as one of the largest market towns in the Alps, and was bringing in tourists in 1806. The first ski lift, the famous rack and pinion railway 'The Tramway du Mont Blanc', (originally designed to go all the way to the top of Mont Blanc!) was installed in 1904 and still runs today as the highest rack and pinion railway in Europe!

The Evasion Mont Blanc, consisting of 6 different resorts including Megeve,Les Contamines, St Nicolas de Veroce, Combloux, La Giettaz and with St Gervais right in the middle- consists of 440km of runs, and non-existent lift queues.

Saint Gervais is a beautiful Savoyard village with a friendly atmosphere. The village is steeped in history and the lovely baroque church is the central point of the village. There is a good range of shops, supermarkets, bars, art galleries and restaurants and every week there is a market, when the village's main square becomes a hive of activity. St Gervais has a huge number of activities on offer. It is popular with walkers and cyclists and in the winter Saint Gervais has a large ski area (over 400 km) which links to nearby Megeve. The Evasion Mt Blanc ski pass will give you access to St Gervais, St Nicholas de Veroce, Les Contamines, Megeve, Combloux and La Glettaz. Parapenting, water sports and golf (the nearest course is Megeve) are all easily available nearby. For those who would like to relax St Gervais' famous thermal parc offers therapies and massage. The village also has an open air swimming (open Jun-Sept), an ice rink, tennis courts and mini golf (summer only).

"Fantastic accommodation, very well equipped and child friendly"

Brilliant accommodation and very well situated for the free ski bus stop...just a couple of minutes walk. The property is extremely spacious set in a picturesque location. It worked really well for us as a family of 4 plus 2 grandparents.

"Nice appartement, but lacks sincere attention/interest of the owner"

We spent a good vacation week in this appartement. But as you can see from the title, we've had some disappointments.Pros- spacious appartement - new bathrooms and kitchen- quiet locationContras-… More

Chalet Mozart as described in the opening text and photos is a large Chalet apartment in an individual private Chalet not an apartment building.
The issue with the water pressure is something we have never experienced before. We had a group of ten staying the week before these guests and had no complaints about the water pressure; we arrived the week after the above guest with friends and family and again had no issues with water pressure. We can only assume that unfortunately this was an interim local mains water pressure problem.
We were contacted several times by the guest about the fridge and made suggestions on how to practically resolve the problem. We contacted an engineer who suggested turning the fridge off for 48hrs. We offered to send an engineer out but the guest declined this. The fridge was working perfectly when we arrived and continues to do so.
We are of course very sorry that there were some problems with the accommodation; this is something we always want to avoid. We strive to provide a faultless service to our guests and have many happy customers who return year after year. We are constantly upgrading and improving the accommodation and photos.

"Brilliant, spacious, well equipped chalet."

Chalet Mozart exceeded our expectations for space ,comfort and equipment. Instructions from the owners were clear and full so we had an easy ,comfortable holiday. When we arrived we were met and welcomed by the lady who oversees the chalet and found it to be spotless and ready for us. I would not hesitate to recomment Chalet Mozart and will definately be returning there.

"Never slept so well! Chalet Mozart gets a big tick from us!"

Absolutely fabulous stay in Saint Gervais at the Chalet Mozart. Everything you could want in a holiday let alone a home from home but better! Spent last week at the Chalet for a ski holiday and couldn't recommend it enough! Perfect location for the Saint Gervais ski bubble (by car or the regular ski bus) to access the Saint Gervais ski area! Loads of pistes to choose from for beginners to experts.
The chalet itself was in walking distance to local restaurants and bars but the chalet was so well equipped & comfortable we stayed in a few nights. Relaxing by the fire with a glass of wine was the perfect ending to a strenuous day on the piste!
As for sleeping..... for my husband to declare the best nights sleeping he's ever had is saying something! Possibly also to do with how relaxing the Chalet is!
We cannot wait to return to Chalet Mozart again not just for skiing but in the summertime too!

"Fantastic chalet perfect for families"

Having recently returned from a week's stay at Chalet Mozart, I felt compelled to write about just how good it was. It is a wonderfully spacious chalet that we shared we another young family. There was plenty of space for everyone, a generous lounge and kitchen/dining area complete with a huge open fire and the most amazing views of the mountains. We were able to easily walk into Saint Gervais which is a very traditional and unspoilt village in the Alps. It is packed with great bars and restaurants, all of which we found to be very family friendly. We skied most days and found getting to and from the pistes very easy. Having young children in tow we were worried about this but it was so easy. We drove just a couple of minutes to the cable car, where we were able to park without any problem at all and it was free! We then collected our skis at the top of the cable car where we left each evening securely locked away at one of the ski rental places. It really couldn't have been easier! No carrying of the children's ski's on and off the mountain!

This is certainly one of the best, well placed and nicest chalets that I have ever stayed in. The combination of the high quality accommodation, the location in the village and the ease at which we could ski made it ideal.

I would highly recommend this chalet to anyone.

"Very well equipped and modern chalet with loads of space and great access."

Really great skiing even late in season. Fireplace and loads of space to relax at night. Modern furnishings and really fully equipped from dryer to coffee machine. Lifts are literally two minutes away.
