About the home

Approx 150 metres from Diable telecabine and easy access the the Jandri, the largest skiable glacier in Europe. Situated between 2800 and 3600 metres, the glacier offers a downhill descent of 800 metres where skiing is possible winter and summer.

The Chalet has a lovely open kitchen, a big wooden dining table and big comfortable sofas by a wood burning stove/fire. Benefitting from a seperate mezzanine TV area with a DVD player. There are 2 double bedrooms with lovely wooden sleigh beds and a large galleried bunk room which will sleep up to six (ideally suited to children, due to limited headroom), as well as a studio room with twin sleigh beds and en-suite shower and wc accessed by a separate staircase. There is a lovely walk-in shower downstairs with wc and bath upstairs with separate wc..

This is really a two-season chalet, skiing all winter and amazing bike rides, canoeing, walks and glacier skiing, swimming in outdoor pools, lakes, golf nearby and tennis, plus a really great activity centre with zip wires and climbing through the trees - in fact, something for everyone!

The chalet can take up to 6 six adults in 2 double bedrooms and the twin bedded room, however the 4th room takes up to a max of 6 children due to bunks and limited headroom in the galleried level.

The chalet is in a great location, central for lifts, bars, shops and restaurants and quiet, yet with beautiful views of the mountains. Close by you can swim in heated outdoor pools, ice skate, bungee jump, downhill luge, canoe, fish, paraglide, fantastic adventure park in Venosc with zip-wires and climbing through trees. Wonderful walks and exhilarating bike rides- fast and crazy downhill rides, lovely x-country rides, summer skiing on the glacier and snowboard park.

The Rhone / French Alps / Isere region

Les Des Alpes is a wonderful outdoor adventure playground all year round. It offers skiing in one of the highest resorts in the world @ 2,800 - 3,600m. It has the largest skiiable glacier in Europe for summer skiing and snowboarding. For bikers, in the summer you can go up in the cable car and decend by bike from 2600m. There is bungee jumping, swimming in outdoor pools and lakes, summer toboggan runs, ice gliding and skating on the open air ice rink, canoeing, rafting. In the pretty and historic village of Venosc there is a great adventure park, where you can be like Tarzan swinging through the trees! and zoom along on zip wires.

The Les Deux Alpes area

Scenic villages of Mont de Lans and Venosc linked to Les Deux Alpes by an 8 minute gondola ride, with cobbled streets and old style architecture, wood carvings and local craft shops. Lovely cross country bike rides. Climbing, hiking, horseriding, golf, fishing the list of activities goes on.

Easy Jet flies to Grenoble from Gatwick, Ryan Air from Stansted - Grenoble is approx 1 hour 30min drive from Les Des Alpes. There are buses and taxis up to Les Des Alpes from there also . Or you can fly to Lyon and Les Des Alpes is approx a 2 hour drive from there, Chambery and Geneva are also driving distance. Alternatively take the Eurotunnel and its around an 8 hour drive from there, driving through the beautiful Champagne region of France..
