Ski a range of other resorts, including Alpe d'Huez 32km, Serre Chevalier 67km, Valloire 62km, Montgenevre & Milky Way/Italian Alps 74km.
In the summer (June, July, August) the glacier is open for skiing (it is the largest skiable summer glacier in Europe). Mountain biking features heavily in the summer too.
The Les Deux Alpes area
Lots to do in this major ski resort. There are plenty of bars and pubs offering a warm and fun atmosphere in the evenings. There's some fantastic fine dining on offer and traditional restaurants offering typical local cuisine.
The property is right in the middle of resort. You don't need a car/bus to get anywhere, it's all close by on foot.
There is a communal pool 50m opposite apartment open all year round.
Across the road, there is a Spar mini market & ski hire plus Patisserie for fresh croissants or bread in the morning.
The nearest bar is over the road, as is the nearest restaurant with more to the left and right. Nightspots are a few minutes walk away towards the old town
All main amenities are no more than 5 minutes away by foot.

Air + transfer: low cost carriers fly to the nearest airports; Grenoble, Chambery (90 mins away), St Etienne, Lyon (2½hrs), Geneva, Turin (2½/3hrs).
Bus transfers are available (and cheap - EUR10-15 ppn) from Grenoble & Lyon.
Car rental may be best (and necessary from Chambery) - see www.travelsupermarket.com for all travel needs. Taxis from the airports are quite expensive.
Car: it's around 7/8 hours from Calais.
Train: you can get a train from anywhere in the UK to Grenoble/Chambery - London is under 8 hrs. click here

You cannot beat this appartment for location based on affordability. It is not luxury, but it is not advertised as. It is a very comfortable appartment that is clean and tidy. It has everything you need. The best thing as I stated above is the location. You grab your stuff and walk across the road and there is the main lift, brilliant! I would use it again if I was going to this resort. |

The apartment was clean and tidy and situated bang in the middle of the resort which meant it was only a few minutes walk to the slopes, restaurants, bars and shops. The apartment does what it says on the tin and we experienced no problems. |

This was very easy to book and deal with the owner who was very helpful. The apartment was nice and clean when we arrived and it is right in the centre of the village. When we finished the day over the Pied Moutet side of the resort we even managed to ski back right to the door via a little bit of off piste. Excellent accommodation for the price. |

Handy for everything (ideal with bakery next door). Extremely comfortable and with three young children we probably spent more time in the apartment than most. We felt at home."
