The apartment has been finished to a high standard with 2 bathrooms which provide constant hot water ! 2 bedrooms and the kitchen is modern and well equipped with hob , oven , microwave and dishwasher , There are 2 T.Vs.and D.V.D players(1 for the kids).A comfortable double bed -setee is situated in the lounge area. A boot room provides a place to dry wet ski equipment. All this combined with great skiing and boarding, the picturesque scenery and the traditional savoyarde village makes Chalet Luce and Les Contamines an ideal holiday destination winter and summer.

Situated beside Mont Blanc which provides the village with excellent snow cover in winter and spectacular views Good varied skiing for all levels and in summer the village is visited by many walkers for its extensive terrain.
Les Contamines-Montjoie area
Winter -Mountain restaurants serving savoyarde specialities.Trips on snowmobiles can be organised to sample local dishes for an evening of fun and adventure with good food.In the village itself there are many good restaurantsand new for winter 2006 a new bar/ restaurant " L'o a la Bouche" which promises to be something new and exciting. Visit the Parc du Thermal Spa situated in St Gervais les Bain,be pampered and treat yourself to skin treatments,massages, beauty treatments etc Summer Update: Local chef Fabrice Boidard (english speaking) of La Bouche runs a cookery school throughout the summer on request.Why not combine a walking /cooking /spa break.
The village has many great shops selling local speciallities,sport shops selling all the latest ski wear and equipment and as it is a very picturesque place with it's baroque church and traditional savoyard architecture just to walk around the village and take in the scenery is amust.

Further details outdoors: Situated in a snow sure area beside Mont Blanc, a very convenient distance from Geneva airport (just over 1 hour ) Les Contamines skiing area provides an excellent varied skiing for all levels of skiers .Great ski schools one of which being ESF providing tuition in skiing,snowboarding, crosscountry and snowblading and local skiguides can be arranged for the more experienced skier who would like to explore the area fully. Chamonix is situated approximately a 30 minute drive away for those who would like to combine the 2 areas,but for most people you'll find everything you'll need and more on your doorstep.
For walkers,the apartment is situated near the end of the valley where mountain paths provide miles of terrain for various levels of difficulty.(Maps available at the The Tourist Office) Find mountain lakes and spectacular scenery,glaciers,mountain restaurants and a wealth of flora and fauna and of course lots and lots of fresh air.

Cleaning charge of 80 Euros is compulsory and to be paid locally
Towels and bedding can be provided at an extra charge
A refundable security deposit of £150 is needed with final deposit
