This traditional Savoyard village has a large number of restaurants serving savoyarde specialities. All you need to be self catering is available from the village; there are 2 super markets, and numerous shops to help you stock up on the food essentials, Ski or summer sports equipment buy or hire and holiday indulgences.
Based at the foot of Mont Blanc in the Alps, Les Contamines is renowned for its mountain views and good snow record with uncrowded slopes. Cross country skiing and children's sledging are virtually on the doorstep. Skating and floodlit junior slopes are also within walking distance. 120Km of slopes cater for all levels.

In the summer Les Contamines is an ideal base for hiking, mountaineering, mountain biking, rock climbing and many alpine sports. Leisure & Sports Park, pony riding, tennis, tree walking, golf driving range, volley ball and playgrounds are only a short walk from the apartment.

Les Contamines is proud of its baroque churches and traditional architecture. A 20-30 minute stroll from Cimes Dor, along the river will take you to Notre Dame de la Gorge, a baroque church rebuilt in 1699. We can recommend the food and open fire atmosphere of La Vieille Auberge just below the chapel of Notre Dame. The The Village church is 18th Century Baroque.

Within easy access for both winter and summer activities are St.Gervais, Megeve and Chamonix

We usually Fly Geneva – Swiss side. Cheap flights available from Easyjet and other air lines
Variety of Car hires available at airport (Two Tolls on route approx seven euros total). Car not necessary in resort but useful if you wish to try out other resorts; what ever time of year.

The apartment includes balcony, bathroom with separate WC, bedroom with bunk beds, and two separate double sofa beds with room divide in the living room. TV/Video and a CD player. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven/grill, microwave, dishwasher and fridge.

6 pillows, 2 single and 2 double duvets are provided. Please remember your own towels/tea towels.
Linen hire can be arranged as can travel cot, pay in resort

* Apartment was great for the four of us (Males,adults) and with great weather it proved an excellent holiday. Location for ski-lift ideal. Village not too far away with little hamlet at gondola catering for most general needs. Car hire has proved useful for visiting other ski resorts several main resorts within 1-hrs drive.
* Thanks for a great stay! Perfect weather everyday allowed for some fun hikes. Lac Armancette; a good warm up walk, quite steep but enjoyable day out. Lac Jovette; long walk suggest leave early very worthwhile with spectacular scenery.
* Nice well kitted out apartment and all-in-all thoroughly enjoyed stay will def try to plan another visit or two.
*Wow, what can I say stunning views, comfortable flat and excellent facilities. I feel relaxed but nervous, seems my daughter is smitten and wants to come back in the winter, mother and snow don't mix. Oh well lets see.
