Surrounded by an acre of grounds and picturesque countryside, this beautifully renovated colombage property offers guests luxury accommodation whilst still retaining its original character and charm, including vaulted beamed ceilings and traditional woodburners. Outside there is a large heated shared swimming pool.
The property has its own patio and barbeque area, with garden furniture and lots of room for the children to play. Within the well kept grounds there is ample parking and a lovely large heated pool which enjoys the Normandy sunshine all day long. The pool is well equipped with seating and sun loungers so you can relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Orne countryside.

The Normandy / Orne region
The region is steeped in history and holds delights for all ages and interests. The Normandy beaches of the historical D Day landings are an easy drive away. The city of Bayeaux with its world famous tapestry, magnificent cathedral and many restaurants is about an hours drive away.
Monet's house and gardens at Giverney, though a little further away, are most definitely worth the effort. The fashionable resorts of Honfleur, Deauville and Trouville are within easy reach, and for the more adventurous a trip to Eurodisney is by no means out of the question.
Why not experience the hot spa baths of Bagnoles de l'Orne in picturesque Swiss Normandy. You could also visit Falaise Castle, childhood home of William the Conquerer and the beautiful Chateau of Vendeuvre with its landscaped water gardens and a large collection of minature furniture.
Les Champeaux area
Les Champeaux is a small village situated 2km from Camembert and only 5km from the larger town of Vimoutier which offers all essential amenities including supermarkets, boulangeries, restaurants, bars and cafes.
Horse riding, fishing, cycle hire and golf are all available locally, and if you are feeling adventurous white water canoeing can be found along the river.
There are several local markets nearby selling fresh local produce, including cheeses and cider.
How to get there
Brittany Ferries and LD Lines sail from Portsmouth to Caen and Le Harve (just over 1 hours drive to Les Champeaux), Transmanche sail from Newhaven to Dieppe (2 hours away) and P&O Ferries and Speedferries sail from Dover to Calais and Boulogne. Eurostar also offer there service from Ashford to Calais (3 hours 30 mins).

Further details indoors: Le Pressoir offers very spacious accommodation. The ground floor has an open plan layout, including a lovely large fully fitted kitchen/diner with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer etc. There is a very comfortable lounge with a large fireplace, tv (English channels), dvd player and video. Also on this level is a wc. Upstairs there is 2 double bedrooms, both with ensuite shower rooms, 1 twin room , 1 quad room (2 singles and 1 pair of bunkbeds) and a bathroom.
Le Pressoir can be rented in conjuction with our other two properties on the site, to provide lovely accommodation for large groups/families of upto 24 people.

The swimming pool is available from late May to late September (outside these periods heating is possible at an extra cost).
