The Normandy / Orne region
The Orne region is steeped in history and you will find plenty of things to see and do. The fantastic Normandy Beaches are a short drive away, with there glorious golden sands and of course the fascinating historical relevance.
Bayeux offers its world famous tapestry along with the fantastic cathedral and may great restaurants, all only an hour away.
Monets Garden at Giverny is a memorable day out. The fashionable resorts of Honfleur and Deauville are within easy reach and for the more adventurous a trip to Eurodisney is by no means out of the question.
Falaise, home of William the Conquerer, the spa baths at Bagnoles de l'Orne and the beautiful Chateau of Vendeuvre with its landscaped water gardens and fine collection of minature furniture are all also short drives away.
Les Champeaux area
Les Champeaux is a small village situated 2 km from camembert and 5 km from Vimoutier which offers all the essential amenities, including supermarkets, bakers and a good selection of bars, restaurants and cafes.
There are several local markets on various days all selling fresh local produce, including local cheeses and cider.
Golf, fishing and cycle hire are also available within a short drive.
How to get there
Brittany Ferries and L D Lines sail from Portsmouth to Caen and Le Harve, both of which are a little over an hours drive from the property.
Transmanche offer a service from Newhaven to Dieppe which is approximately 2 hours drive.
From Dover there are several companies offering crossings to both Calais and Boulogne and finally Eurostar offer there train service from Ashford to calais, all of which leave a very easy 3hr 30min drive to the property.

Further details indoors: La Cour de la Chenaie offers spacious accommodation. The lower level has an open plan layout with a fully fitted kitchen (washing machine, dishwasher etc), a separate dining area with large oak dining table and a very comfortable lounge with large fireplace, woodburner, tv (English channels), dvd and video. There is also a bathroom with spa bath on this level.
The upper level has 4 bedrooms, 2 doubles both with en suite shower rooms, 1 quad room with 2 single beds and 1 set of bunk beds and 1 twin room.
There is also a separate wc on this level.
La Cour de La Chenaie can be rented in conjunction with either or both of our other 2 properties on the site to provide an ideal base for large family/group holidays supplying excellent accommodation for upto 24 people. Further details
The swimming pool is available May to September (outside these periods heating is possible at extra cost).
Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday (arrival 4pm onwards, departure by 10am).

We ask for a £200 refundable security deposit. Prices are for upto 10 people. Linen and towels are included with the exception of swimming towels.
