About the home

This 2 bedroomed apartment (1 double, 2 singles) and sofa bed is fully equipped with Microwave oven, dishwasher, hob and fridge. Also included are two separate bathrooms, one with shower and one with bath. TV (sky channels) video and DVD are included along with free use of the Jacuzzi, Steam room, Sauna, exercise equipment and indoor/outdoor swimming pool. Ski lockers are also included for easy storage. The accommodation has a balcony with views down the slopes and access within minutes to the ski lifts. The ski school is literaly 15 metres from the reception of the block. ARC 1950 village has several restaurants, a bakery, grocery store, bars and a club. Access to ARC 1950 is convenient by bus or a drive from Geneva, Lyon or Chambery Airport. ARC 1950 is approx 30 minutes by taxi from Bourg St Maurice -- the nearest town, which is accessible by Eurostar from St Pancras and other major European cities.
Les Arcs has great reports if you are into skiing or snowboarding.

Facilities

Further details indoors:
The apartment has two bedrooms, one has a double bed with en-suite bathroom which includes WC, Bath, shower. The room has built in wardrobes with a safe which can be programmed with your own code for security. The second room has two separate beds, storage for clothes with a separate shower room, and basin. There is a separate WC.
The living area has a sofa bed (if required), two separate chairs, 2 stools and a kitchen area, which includes dishwasher, microwave oven, fridge and a hob with 4 rings. The apartment has a TV with SKY channels + many more on offer, DVD and video. There is a balcony with table and chairs if required with views of the mountains and slopes. If you are tired, need a break from Skiing, then you can watch others skiing and snowboarding off piste down the mountains. There is a underground car park which provides easy access to the apartment.

Further details outdoors:
The balcony is not shared and looks directly out to the slopes. There are 2 ski lockers with combination locks one level down where you can directly access the slopes. If you choose to drive to ARC 1950 there is a underground car park which will provide quick access (3 mins) to the apartment -- ideal after a long drive. Arc 1950 is a car free resort.

The Rhone / French Alps / Savoie region

Les Arcs is in the Savoie region of the French Alps, between La Plagne and Val D'Isere.
Arc 1950, "The village" is an excellent choice as a 4 * Ski-in Ski-out Ski location, as well as being a great choice in the summer months too. There is a Ski School minutes from the apatment along with the pass office for the paradiski Ski domain. Activities such as mountain biking, tennis, walks, paragliding, a 18 hole Golf course and white water rafting are just some of the attractions that will keep you entertained.
As you would expect, there are also guided tours to the history of the local area around Bourg Saint Maurice, Museums, Nature reserves and a Ice Grotto.

The Les Arcs / Arc 1950 area

Arc 1950 "The Village" has weekly programs during the Winter and Summer, such as fireworks, Children's face painting, wine tasting and live music to name a few.

Travelling by train ?

No problem! There are direct TGV trains from Paris and Lille and direct sleeper trains from most of the main cities in France. If you are coming from London, the Eurostar will take you directly to Bourg-Saint-Maurice, as will the Thalys train from Amsterdam and Brussels. All of the European cities lead to Bourg-Saint-Maurice!
When you arrive at Bourg-Saint-Maurice station, you can choose between the Arc-en-Ciel funicular that goes up to Arc 1600 in 7 minutes, coach (Autocars Martin, tel. + 33 (0)4 79 07 04 49, www.autocars-martin.com) or taxi which takes approx 30 mins to ARC 1950 From ARC 1600 there is a free bus service to ARC 1950.
If you’ve already got your ski-pass in your pocket, your journey in the funicular is already sorted. Jump aboard!

Guestbook for ARC 1950 Apartment

I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed Les Arcs and staying in your apartment. It was without a doubt one of the most pleasant, most convenient and best equipped skiing accommodations that we have experienced. It was particularly nice to find that the previous occupants have left a few goodies in the way of food and drink. So often one has to buy basics (salt, pepper, sugar etc) at an exorbitant price just to use only a small amount. They not only left a number of things for us, but also half a bottle of vodka. We also left a few things plus the rest of a bottle of gin. I don’t know if this is your policy with HMC to leave these things but we were delighted. Of course anyone being a bit fussy could always dump the remnants so I don’t see this as a problem.
