Home description

Spacious and fully equipped 3 double bed self catered apartment that can sleep 8 comfortably, 100sqm. Situated just 5 mins drive from the ski lifts to Les Arcs/La Plagne, one of the biggest ski resorts in Europe.

The apartment is part of an old farmhouse, nestled at the top of an authentic farming village. There are beautiful views in all directions, its peaceful and away from the hordes in the resorts. Val d’Isere/Tignes and the Three Valleys plus a number of smaller resorts are also within easy reach and the town of Bourg St Maurice is just 5 minutes from the village.

There are lots of restaurants and bars in the town. There's 3 supermarkets and a beautiful pedestrian high st with lots of traditional shops.

The apartment is available year round and is fantastically situated for enjoyment of all summer activities as well. There is a great lake beach and the lovely river Isere. The walking, cycling and driving is spectacular.

The Rhone / French Alps / Savoie region

Situated in one of the most dramatic parts of the Alps, Mount Blanc is near and the nearby ski resorts of Les Arcs/ La Plagne, Val d'Isere/Tignes and the Three Valleys are amongst the highest in Europe.

You are sure of snow. The scenery is absolutely beautiful in summer or winter. There are National Parks, forests, and wildlife sanctuaries all around. It's a lovely place in the snow or the sun.

Les Arcs / Bourg St Maurice area

The apartment is in a village just outside Bourg St maurice and just a 5 min drive to the Funicular railway from Bourg to Les Arcs/La Plagne, one of the biggest resorts in Europe. Also within 30 mins is Val d'Isere/Tignes and the Trois Vallees as well as a few other smaller resorts, so the skiing and boarding is boundless.

In the summer, there's walking, cycling, water sports, paragliding, golf and much more. The apartment overlooks the valley with great views across to Les Arcs. The town of Bourg offers an authentic feel, with Saturday markets and frequent fetes. There are restaurants and bars and its much cheaper than up in the resorts.

There are some beautiful driving tours in the region and the old towns of Albertville, Chambery, Annecy, Aix les Bains and many more make great excursions.

How to get there

You can fly to Chambery (Flybe or snowjet,1 hr transfer), Grenoble (Easyjet, 1.5hr transfer), Lyon (various carriers, 2 hr transfer), or Geneva (various carriers, 2.5 hr transfer).

There are plenty of car hire options in each of these airports.

You can also take the Eurostar or the TGV direct to Bourg St Maurice. There is a branch of Europcar next to the station and the apartment is just 5 min drive from the station.

There are beautiful views from the balcony and windows of the house, looking over the River Isere valley to Les Arcs and down on to Bourg too. The setting is peaceful and rural.
