Home description
The Villa is ideally situated just 5 minutes from exit 36 (St Tropez/Draguignan) on the A8 Autoroute du Soleil, and only 45 minutes drive from Nice Airport. Less than 30 minutes south are the beautiful mediterranean beaches of the Cote D'Azur, with St Maxime being the closest. Here can also be found a large variety of restaurants and bars, and access to all kinds of watersports and activities associated with beach life. St. Tropez is normally a 45 minute drive around the coast, but a pleasanter journey is to take the ferry across from St. Maxime. These operate aproximately every 15 minutes in the sumer months.
Driving about 30 minutes north will find you in the stunning region of the Gorge Du Verdon, (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Verdon_Gorge) second only to the Grand Canyon in scale and beauty. Within a 1 hour radius, you can find yourself in Cannes, Antibes, Juan les Pins, Nice and Monaco to the East, while West will lead you to Aix-en-Provence, Marseilles, Toulon. There are numerous medieval villages in the area, all offering typical Provencal charm and beauty,
Of course, we are in the centre of the Provence vineyards, and within a 15 minute driving radius there are too many local vineyards and wineries to list. Suffice to say, you will not be disappointed if Winetasting is your passion!
Quite close by you can go horseriding, canoeing, fishing, and there are 6 superb Golf courses within an hours drive, with the best being only 10 minutes away! This also boasts a very comfortable Spa, so maybe partners can indulge in both!

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Var region
La Marjolaine is a pretty villa set in the countryside of the central Var, less than 30 minutes from the beaches of the Cote D'Azur and also less than 30 minutes from the stunning Gorge du Verdon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Verdon_Gorge ) and close to many delightful villages that abound in this area. It is set in a calm, quiet area only minutes from vineyards and many degustation opportunities! We enjoy a wonderful macroclimate that is very dry and very warm in the summer months, it can get quite hot!

Les Arcs sur Argens / Le Serre area
Of course, we are in the centre of the Provence vineyards, and within a 15 minute driving radius there are too many local vineyards and wineries to list. Suffice to say, you will not be disappointed if Winetasting is your passion!

The summer months in particular offer many scores of festivals, concerts, shows and fetes that are too numerous to detail. However, every two years, in July, Les Arcs itself has a wonderful Medeival festival that is held over 4 days, and sees all the village revert to the days of Yore, dressing in colourful medeival costumes and playing host to Knights Templar, Vikings, Saracens and many other visiting troupes and players! There are working siege machines, Birds of prey, Ancient Knights, Roasting pigs, and a whole host of sights and sounds not to be missed. The highlight is a marvellous pageant and show held every evening after dark, with up to 200 players acting out various scenes in the towns converted Amphitheatre!
All the local towns and villages hold their own festivals through the summer, so you would not have to travel far to see a whole range of shows and activities.
In short, you can satisfy most interests easily within a short drive from the villa. Should you wish to just chill out and relax, the house is set in a delightfully calm, quiet area, and the pool and surrounding patio is completely private and secluded, and is ideal for quiet lazy days improving the tan or reading under the Olive trees. In addition to the Patio/Terrace area and side garden, there is a larger Fruit garden with Fig, Quince, Abricot and other fruit trees.
How to get there
