The Snow house is just 250 metres from the nearest chair lift !! Centrally located in the superb character village of Les Angles it has easy access to all amenities. A parking area is available for your car.

The tastefully furnished accommodation is arranged over two floors. There are 4 dedicated bedrooms sleeping 8 people comfortably. The bathroom has a bath and independant shower plus there are 2 separate WCs - so no queues in the mornings! The children will enjoy the play area on the first floor - equipped with a blackboard and toys. There is a lockable cupboard for your skis and boots. Beautifully furnished, The Snow House is an excellent base for a family holiday in summer or winter. Bed linen and towels are available at a nominal cost.

Les Angles is a charming Pyreneen resort. In winter months it enjoys brisk temperatures and blue skies. Glorious sunny days continue in the summer months when the temperature is in the mid-20s and the area is reminiscent of the the Lake District in sunshine!! Meantime, in the winter, Les Angles is one of the most reliable Pyreneen resorts to enjoy a good covering of quality snow. Whilst preserving the authenticity of a mountain village, proud of its Catalan roots, it has successfully developed modern tourist activities with sophisticated ski equipment. Whilst remaining a true Pyreneen village, proud of its Catalan roots, Les Angles has evolved to the forefront as a tourist area with a sophisticated infrastructure to cater for all needs. A 16-person gondola lift, unique in the area, an impressive battery of snow cannons and the flurry of the very latest in snow-grooming machines ensures, for the entire winter season, the very best snow conditions. In addition to the endless activities available, there are fireworks and festivals aplenty throughout the year!

Only 14 km away in Mont Louis (said to be the highest fortified town in France - complete with a solar oven!) one can hop onto the 'Train Jaune' - a great way to see the scenerey. The historical fortified village of Villefranche de Conflent , 45km away, was built by the Count Guillaume-Raymond de Cerdagne, in the year 1090 : its name means in French "free town". And another way to enjoy the blue skies would be to look up as you sit in a hot thermal spa!

How to get there

Budget airlines such as Ryanair and Flybe service Perpignan (France) and Gerona (Spain) airports. Many great deals are to be had! Major car rental companies are represented at both airports. Please contact the owner should you require a shuttle service. From the UK one can also travel to Perpignan by high-speed train, taking the Eurostar from London and connecting with the TGV at Paris. Excellent transfer service (starting at 10 Euros return trip) offered by FROGBUS - www.frogbus.com Operates from Gerona airport via Perpignan to Les Angles

The resort of Les Angles is situated in the Capcir-Puymorens area of the Pyrénées Orientales. Part of the Neiges Catalanes ski domain, the ski area extends from 1600 metres to 2400 metres and offers 50 km of lift served runs. There are 42 km of cross country trails. The resort features a snowpark.

Parking is available. Due to the superb central location you are likely to explore the village by foot during your stay. There are many restaurants in the village with good food at reasonable prices. The night-life at Les Angles is low key without much for young singles, but it is great for families.

For summer holidays there is a vast selection of activities to occupy your time: sailing, kayaking and windsurfing on the Matemale lake plus horse riding, golf, tennis, acro bungy, husky training and quad biking. In summer months the gondola services mountain walking and the bike park.

A file offering extensive information on the resort and its facilities awaits your arrival at The Snow House. In the event of a problem you may contact the English/French speaking owner. Changeover day is Saturday. In low season we accept bookings of less than 7 nights. Time of arrival is 16.00 hours, departure time is 10.00 hours. We ask for a 25% deposit to secure the booking, the balance is due 8 weeks prior to arrival. Full terms and conditions may be viewed on our website.

Heating is included in the winter season ie 6th Dec 2008 - 9th May 2009. Bed Linen and bath towels are available at £8 per person per week. In the event of bedlinen being selected the beds will be made up in advance of your arrival. A travel cot is avilable at a charge of £12 per week. A £200 security deposit is requested with your balance payment. We can accept payments by cheque or bank transfer in GBP or Euros.
