The Languedoc-Roussillon / Pyrenees-Orientales region
Languedoc-Roussillon is perfectly positioned between the Mediterranean to the east where the beautiful sandy beaches provide long days by the sea, and the Pyrenees to the west, which offer a wealth of walking and cycling opportunities, not to mention skiing in the winter!
This region is a delight; the valley's provide lush green scenery, with the mountains dominating the skyline. You can be swimming in the sea in the morning, and hiking in the mountains in the afternoon. There are even thermal hot springs, so if you would like to combine the two activities we can suggest a hike AND a swim in the mountains! It really does offer you everything!

Saint-Michel-de-Cuxa Benedictine monks have been here since 578. The Abbey is pre-Romanesque and the cloister (in pink marble) Romanesque. Concerts during the festival Pablo Casals at nearby Prades. Prieuré de Serrabona (literally, the Priory of the Good Mountain) Consecrated in 1151 and classified as a Monument Historique in 1838. Famous for its beautiful capitals in the cloister.

How to get there
Fly to Perpignan via the low-cost airlines - Ryanair, Flybe or Air France - Clorneilla-de-Conflent is just 40 minutes from the airport.
- Alternatively fly to (in order of closeness) Girona, Carcassonne, Montpellier, Nimes, Barcelona or Toulouse using airlies Ryanair, Easyjet, FyBe, British Airways or Air France.
- All major car rental agencies have a desk at all the airports.
- Drive from Perpignan on RN 116 (direction Andorre), Continue until Mont Louis and then take the road to Les Angles.

Further details indoors: The chalet is built on a hillside and benefits from split-floor living areas. The lower level is used for the kitchen, bathroom and w.c. whilst the middle level contains the main living area. The higher level contains the bedrooms and mezzanine sleeping area. Total floor area is 70 sq.m and this means that it can comfortably accommodate 7/9 adults. There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with a double bed with a single bunk above. A further double bed is situated on the mezzanine landing and a large comfortable bed settee (for two persons) is in the sitting room. A folding single bed can be requested if the mix of beds does not suit the party.
The kitchen is fully equipped with full-size oven, combination micro/convection oven, hob, toaster, kettle and coffee machine. The bathroom has a full length bath with shower over and a vanity/washbasin unit. There is also a separate w.c. on the ground floor.
The spacious and comfortably furnished sitting room is equipped with television, DVD player and games. The dining area is situated to benefit fully from the views over the lake.
Further details outdoors: The balcony which runs the full width of the chalet faces south east and enjoys beautiful views of the lake and offers a wonderful place to have lunch or an evening snack.
