The Famagusta District
Leopetri is in the Famagusta district and is a 25 minute drive from Larnaca airport, and boast some of the most stunning beaches on the island.
This stunning Villa is located just a short walk from the amenities of the village of Leopetri but far enough away to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the local surrounding area. The beautiful natural fishing shelter at Potamos Liopetriou is also couple of minutes drive from the complex. Potamos Liopetriou is a photogenic inlet and is where the local fishermen bring in their catch - and some say the best fish on the island. If you do not want to cook yourself then try one of the two fish restaurants overlooking the river and the sea with views across to Cape Greco in the East. The French poet Arthur Rimbaud has also worked in this area in the 1880s.The town of Paralimni is also close by with a larger selection of shops, boutiques, restaurants and cafes and supermarkets (Kokkinos and Carrefour).
Ayia Napa is 10 minutes drive away, with its energetic nightlife and over 1,000 restaurants. Ayia Napa offers two different worlds; quiet, relaxing, sun kissed beach days during the day time, and the energetic and electric party atmosphere of the night time. However if it’s a quieter nightlife you desire, then you needn’t move from the villa. Ayia Napa has more than the nightlife to offer. For the more romantic of you there is the harbour with 2 beautiful fish restaurants with stunning sunset views. At the harbour in the day, many boat trips available, of which one goes to the “ghost town” of Famagusta. This is totally deserted and a very interesting excursion. The village of Deryhnia, which is a short car drive away has look out points where you can also view the town of Famagusta.
Cyprus has an all year round climate with as many as 340 days of sunshine each year, with hot summers and mild winters. In the winter months (January – March) the Troodos Mountains offer the option of skiing. Troodos also offer horse riding and in the Mountain villages there is wine tasting. English is widely spoken. The road signs are in both Greek and English and they drive on the left as we do in the UK. Cyprus has absolutely loads to offer. It is a beautiful country and I am pretty certain it will be one of the best holidays you will have and return year after year to explore it more. Nicosia is the last divided city in the world, and since the restrictions have been relaxed it is possible to visit the northern (Turkish) side of the island, but you must take your passport to go across the border.
Leopetri area
This stunning Villa is located just a short walk from the amenities of the village of Leopetri but far enough away to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the local surrounding area. The village of Leopetri itself has everything you will need for all of your requirements: shops, banks, butchers, grocers, hairdressers, petrol station, mini market, post office, pharmacies, and traditional Tavernas. There is also a weekly Sunday market (bazaar) within 10 minutes walk of our Villa. Leopetri is traditionally a potato-growing town and still carries on the traditional craft of basket making. It is a rural village which has lots of farmland, mainly growing the beautiful “Cypriot potatoes” and melons. There are plenty of beautiful walks for those who like a stroll and bicycle rides.
Five minutes drive away; you will find the stunning beaches of Ayia Thekla and Macronnissis (blue flag beach with a lifeguard) where there is a hotel bar. They have very calm waters and white sand. Ideal for children. A little further along the coast road is the gorgeous Nissi beach, which has bars, music and a wide variety of water sports, bungee jumping and one of the best beaches in Cyprus. Between the beaches of Ayia Thekla and Macronnissis is the large water park that is open between the months of May until October.

Smoking is not permitted inside the property. Ashtrays are provided for smoking outdoors. Before entering the pool, suntan lotions/oils must be washed off in the external shower as these have an adverse effect to the pool liner. On departure, the property must be left clean and tidy (the same condition as on arrival).

If booking is within 8 weeks of your arrival, then full payment is required at the time of booking. On departure, the property must be left clean and tidy (the same condition as on arrival). A bond of £200 for breakages, excessive untidiness etc payable with the booking. This will be reimbursed within 14 days of your return, subject to a satisfactory property inspection. A £40 post cleaning charge will be applied to all bookings. No pets allowed at this property
