Mon Rêve is a beautiful two bedroomed duplex/cottage with all modern conveniences. It is equipped with all you will need for a great stay: modern kitchen, ceramic hob, washing machine, dishwasher and combi oven and grill. We provide a barbecue and outdoor furniture, just perfect for those warm evening outside with a bottle of wine, looking at the stars and listening to the owls call?

Or take a stroll to the lake to enjoy the amazing sunsets. This lovely cottage is located in a magical setting surrounded by tall pine trees and cork trees, is approached by a private road. The development is gated and there is a large car park. Mon Rêve duplex cottage is new and modern and with its wonderful location offers everything the holiday maker could wish for. Set on the edge of the village it is a minute walk to shops, restaurants, cinema, and tourist office. Biarritz Airport is 45 minutes from Mon Reve. Ryanair start flights from Birmingham on July 1st 08. Flying on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturdays, from £25.00 each way.
This is good news as within a few hours you can be sunning yourself at Mon Reve.!!
The southern Landes is a beautiful and undiscovered area of France, close to the Basque region, the Bearn and Northern Spain - the cuisine has a Spanish influence and the people are so friendly.

The Village of Leon is right down in the South-West of France where the sun is much higher in the sky all year round. The forest of Landes is vast, and together with the amazing Atlantic dominates the landscape. The interesting local towns of Biarritz, Bayonne, St Jean de Luz are within 45 minutes and Pau, Bordeaux, and Arcachon take just 90 minutes or so...

Over the border in Spain there's the fabulous cities of St. Sebastian and Bilbao (home of the Guggenheim) which is well worth a visit. Landes is perfect for people who love to be outside - there are Atlantic beaches with miles of soft sand - for surfers, fishermen and swimming, forests for cycling and walking, lakes, for fishermen, championship golf courses.. or just relax in a friendly cafe and watch the world go by!

Leon area

Leon is an ancient Landaise village. It has a lovely location close to the sea. Its has a daily market every day in summer, lots of places to eat, and safe and pretty cycle paths through the forest and to the beaches. As a town you will find everything you might possibly need on holidays. Restaurants, fishing, surf ing lessons, bike hire shops, boutique shopping, pharmacy, boulangerie's, even a cinima. Its tourist office is located next to its post office. The local people are very friendly and welcoming. It has its own Rugby ground, which is a very popular sport in this part of France. The lake is beautiful, you can walk from mon Reve in 10 minutes, see the lovely sunsets, and have an evening swim in the lake. The kids are safe to swim here and there are lots of pedelos and a pretty shaded beach.

The Landes forest area is a peaceful, natural retreat - refresh yourself!
An area of over 300 sq km and a population of just 350,000 - the Landes National Park is somewhere to spread your wings and to get back in touch with nature. Visitors here invariably leave with a renewed sense of peace and vitality. For active days there are lakes for boating, swimming, picnic-ing or just observing the wildlife, and several centres for horse-riding, canoeing, cycle trails, rambling along marked routes or discovering local history. Join in village festivals in summer - lively, friendly, great fun! In the north the wine country is on your doorstep, in the middle and south the ocean beaches of Côte d'Argent and Côte Basque are in easy reach, as is the culture and heritage of Gascony. How to get there

Fly from most regional airports to Bordeaux (90) minutes BMI baby, Aer lingus, Easyjet and British Airways. Fly to Biarritz only 40 minutes from our cottage. Fly from London Stansted with Ryanair, also Dublin and Shannon in ireland after Easter. Ryanair also fly to Pau airport from L. Stansted. BMI baby fly from Birmingham and manchester to Bordeaux. You can also fly to Bilbao with Easyjet, about 2 hours from our cottage.
St malo is closest about 6 hours, and Caan is not much further, with fast ferries. Ferries from ireland direct to France.

Our holiday home has all you will need. Watch the sun rise from your bedroom and have Petit déjeuner on the balcony.

Downstairs
A fully fitted kitchen with ceramic hob, combination oven, dishwasher, washing machine.
Beautiful tiled floors, French style furniture. Satellite TV with a good variety of English channels. DVD player, WIFI internet for those who just have to keep in touch!

There is a very comfortable sprung sofa bed in the lounge which will sleep two people. Cloakroom with toilet.
French doors lead out to a beautiful dining terrace, and deck area, surrounded by gardens with lush planting. A pergola, covered in climbing plants, lends privacy and offers a tranquil and beautiful space, in which to relax, chill out, eat, drink, listen to the birds, sunbathe. or barbecue.

Upstairs: two bedrooms, one double with balcony overlooking the garden, the other bedroom, has a loft (bunk) beds, and is great for the kids. You will also find a shower room with vanity basin and toilet.
Both bedrooms have fitted wardrobes.

About the house and area:
Mon reve is beautiful year round, is very suitable for couples, families and the retired. We curenntly do not have a baby cot, so please bring your own travel cot.
Our stairs are open thread and some parents may feel these are unsuitable for very small children. We have bunk beds, and request that they are used safely.
The nearby Atlantic beaches are renowned for their big waves and great surfing, and indeed World championships take place there.

The Atlantic beaches span for 150 km or more, so you will be spoilt for choice, you can visit a different beach each day!
The lake of Leon is a short walk away, there are many miles of very safe cycling on off road forest or beach paths. The area is very popular for birdwatching, surfing, golf, cycling, bodyboarding, kayaking, photography, Wine and food.

We require a security deposit of £150. This is paid with final balance. A Booking Deposit of £150 for each week of the rental is required at the time of booking. The final balance no later than eight weeks prior to the start of your holiday.

Security deposit is returned 14 days after end of let.
Payments may be made by cheque or bank transfer.
