Our lovely cottage is situated at the edge of a rural hamlet - overlooking gardens and fields - full of wonderful wildlife.

We are 1.5 miles from the market town of Leominster which is famous for its antique shops - which are regularly featured on the TV antique hunt style programmes.

Nearby we have woodland, rivers and therefore lovely wildlife. The cottage garden is regularly visited by nuthatches, woodpeckers, squirrels, finches - to name a few!

Queenswood Country Park is nearby with lovely, tracked and public footpath walks which lead to a stunning viewpoint. There is also a National Trust shop and lovely cafe at the Park.

Hereford Cathedral is the home to the The Mappa Mundi - a unique part of Britain's heritage. The map is an outstanding treasure of the medieval world, it records how thirteenth-century scholars interpreted the world in spiritual as well as geographical terms. "Perfect"

My husband and I stayed at Walnut Tree Cottage between 23/12-30/12 with our dog. We have not stayed in another holiday rental that was so beautifully decorated but also felt homely and relaxed. Elaine and Jonathan were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble - we were even given a lift back to Leominster station on our last day despite having a muddy dog in tow! The extra touches and attention to detail are what really makes this cottage stand out. From the home made mince pies on arrival to rechargeable torches everything has been thought about. The cottage is very spacious and great care has been taken to ensure that facilities are well maintained. The location was perfect for us being only a couple of miles from Leominster train station. There some wonderful walks almost literally on the doorstep; our Jack Russell had a great time galavanting in the mud through Brierley Woods. All in all, I can't think of anything that I would improve about Walnut Tree cottage and would return again without hesitation.

Wow! Thank you for such a fabulous review! We are thrilled that you enjoyed your stay at the cottage and found it so 'Perfect'! We'd love to see you all again in the future - give Chalky the dog a cuddle from me please!
