About the home

Haus Hubertus is located 900 metres above sea level, it is 10 mins from Leogang,the 3rd part of the "Ski Circus"Saalbach and Hinterglemm,It is quiet and peaceful with magnificient views, close at hand it has everything from apres ski, slopes for all types of skiers, ski school for adults and children, excellant bars
and restaurants.
The chalet benefits from the main Azitz ski lift 10 mins from our door enabling you to ski directly to and from the
chalet.
In the summer it is the home of the "Bike Park" for the serious moutain biker, down in the village is a sports complex, with a large open air swimming pool and tennis courts.Horseriding can also be found in the town, with a golf course not far away.i

The chalet comprises of the 5 bedrooms all with twin beds in,3 with balconies 2 without, balconies, one bedroom has part ensuite the other bedrooms have hand basins in and there are 2 shower rooms , plus 2 toilets on the upper floor.,we have a very large dining room and lounge , for relaxing, apres ski or the hot chocolate mixed with rum.
This is a catered chalet with a representative living in to provide the breakfast.

The house is surrounded by a garden with outdoor tables for eating and entertaining in the summer, with a BBQ for house guests to use, there is plenty of space for the children to build a snowman, and the odd snowball fight.
There is car parking for 4 cars.
Bycycles for the summer are available for hire in the town.
Ski Hire,Snowboards etc, can also be hired in the town.Prices for the winter season for Ski hire and ski passes are now available on request

Bedding and towels are provided on arrival, but extra towels in the week are available at additional cost.
Winter bookings are usually taken on a Saturday,and for 7 nights, we will also try and be flexible if necessary.
In Summer it is possible to arrive any day. Winter bookings are now being taken for 2013.

We ask our guests to smoke only on the patio or balcony.

.We reserve the right to ask for a security deposit of £50.00 per person.
The balance of the monies to be paid 4 weeks before arrival.

Having fun in the snow

The Austrian Alps / Salzburgerland / Salzburgerland region

Rain is located 10 mins from Leogang which is found in the Pinzgau region of the Salzburgerland.This is a quiet village away from the main town but close to all amenities.In Winter the snow cover is very good in the
village for the ski schools, but with the added height 1999 metres for the main skiing area just 10 mins away.
There are plenty of good restaurants,apres ski bars, not the area for those seeking nightclubs.
Also to be found evening skiing, twice weekly toboggoning and go karting (even in the winter).Para gliding from the mountains is a must , summer or winter.
The Summer season provides all sports ranging from walking,swimming,cycling,horseriding,tennis and golf.

The Leogang / Rain area

In winter Leogang hosts numerous skiing competitions featuring some of the worlds best ski champions,.
Snowboarding at its best with 3 new parks now open and perfect snow conditions this year with recent falls
far exceeding expectations to enjoy this activity and perfect skiing for all levels.

Rain is a small spread out village, 900 metres above sea level, 10 mins by car to the bigger village of Leogang,
which is situated 1 hour from Salzburg airport, and approx 2.5 hours from Munich.
www. Ryanair. com offer flights from London Stansted all year round,also winter routes from East Midlands and
Liverpool.
www.Thomsonfly.com offer flights from London Gatwick every day of the week through the winter time,
Winter routes also from Doncaster,Bournemouth,and Leeds.
www.flybe.com offer flights from Birmingham and Southampton.
www.easyjet.com all year round into Munich.
Ryanair and Aer Lingus from Dublin.
We can also provide maps and info if you wish to travel by car.
Taxis from Salzburg to the chalet are approx £150.00 return,there is also a bus service to Saalfelden from
Salzburg airport, approx £6.00 each person.
Also the normal hire car companies are available at Salzburg,recommended for the summer. .

“One of the best ski trips ever!” While 15.000 travelers were snowed in in Austria, 10 good friends spent 5 days in this fantastic chalet and the surrounding ski areas. The place is very comfortable with central heating, sufficient hot water and sinks in all of the rooms, an impressive DVD collection and other stuff. The atmosphere is very personal and like a family-home (which it is). Restaurants, Massages, Saunas, etc. are in walking distance. The skiing at Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang rocks, too. The very friendly owners also visited during our stay and went out with us. Very amicable folks. Thank you. We will come again! “Utterly Fabulous !! - couldn't have wished for a better holiday” The chalet was fantastic, every other place in this extraordinary oasis is about three to four times the price. Walking distance to bars, restaurants, swimming pools, saunas, go-karting-on-ice, etc. At home the breakfasts and dinners were great, Graham, the energetic baldylocks "chalet maid", was funny, tolerant and amazingly helpful, a mine of information about the mountains, hunting and where the oompah and parties were going on; and strangely happy to guide the idiots among us through the deeper off-piste stuff on snowboards after brekkers. Cool. There's a FREE ski-lift just a few hundred yards DOWNHILL from the chalet so you can slide down to it, and go up it and slide home again - er, amazing or what ???!!! a hundred metres further uphill is a bar where Thomas makes [grows fruit, ferments, distills] award winning schnapps.Stays open 'til your eyes can't. We had a brilliant time and thoroughly recommend it.
