About the home

Our beautiful 2 bedroom Leogang Apartment Sonnrainin Austria can sleep 2 to 8 persons. Located in a very sunny position in the village centre. Nearby is a supermarket, ski and bike rental, post office ,various local shops and restaurants.
The apartment has 2 double bedrooms each with a pull out extra childs/teens bed plus en-suite bathroom, a large living kitchen with a double sofa bed.Well equipped for 8 persons. A large south facing balcony with outdoor furniture affording superb Austrian mountain views .
Leogang is part of the "Ski Circus" ,a vast linked ski area with the villages of Saalbach and Hinterglemm.In Summer it is the home of the famous "Bike park " , a mecca for serious mountain bikers. The more gentle cycle path runs directly outside the house. Within 150 mtrs of the house is a large open air swimming pool , leisure centre and tennis courts.In house Sauna free 5 x week in winter, Bar,childrens play room,pooltable,table tennis, solarium,Sky TV and DVD,computer corner with free internet access and WIFI in apartment. Secure cycle and ski store.

Our Leogang Apartment is located in a large house with other apartments. There is a ski and boot room with heated boot drier .A drying room for wet clothes is also available.
In the basement of the house is a large room used for socialising and meeting with friends. For children there is a table tennis , SateliteTV with European, Asian and Arabic channels, table football ( with payment ), and for small children a speacialised Kids play area with slide and plenty of toys.
A Sauna , Solarium and Jacuzzi are also available ( charges sometimes applicable / times or opening vary )
The apartment benefits from a large balcony with outdoor chairs.
Computer for use of guests free, plus WIFI available.
Garden BBQ and outdoor furniture. Car parking.

The house is surrounded by a garden where there are outdoor tables for eating and entertaining in summer. The BBQ is available for all the house guests to use.
There is car parking for 9 cars.
Just across the road from the house is a children's play park with timber climbing frame, swing slide in a safe and secure environment. No Traffic.
Bicycles are available to rent in the village.
The heated outdoor swimming pool and leisure centre with tennis courts is 200 mtrs from the house.In Summer all our guests receive a FREE LOWEN card which allows them UNLIMITED ACCESS to the swimming pool FREE of charge ( 2 other local pools also included) and a FREE ride up and down on the cable cars, either in Leogang or nearby in Saalbach and Hinterglemm. There is a FREE daily children's activities programme organised by the local tourist office, with pony riding, fishing , crafts etc. A guided walking programme from Monday to Friday is also free of charge organised through the tourist office in summer High Season. Programme of events offered in conjunction with tourist office , and not available in low season.

Our house is NO SMOKING THROUGHOUT. We ask our guests to smoke only on the balcony . Thank You.
Pets are considered by prior arrangement and at an additional cost.
Bedding and towels are provided on arrival, Extra towels are available at additional cost of € 2.50 each.
Bathrobes available for rental.
Kitchen tea towel is provided. We ask guests to provide their own soaps, shower and bath gell etc shampoo and toilet rolls.
WE LIVE IN THE HOUSE SO ARE AVAILABLE TO HELP WITH ALL ASPECTS OF YOUR HOLIDAY.

Conditions

In winter changover day is usually on Saturday and for 7 Nights, although if it is possible to be a little flexible we will be.
In summer and off season it is possible to arrive on any day, and shorter duration bookings are usually accepted.
We reserve the right to ask for a security deposit of £150.
To secure a booking a deposit of €200 is required, with the balance of payment before arrival date.
Payment may be made by bank transfer , or credit card payments are accepted subject to a small 2% admin charge.

Leogang is located in the Salzburgerland region of Austria, and more specifically in Pinzgau. Roughly 1 hour by car from Salzburg it is a quiet village away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Due to the formation of the valley over thousands of years, it is said that Leogang enjoys both good sunshine and a good snow record.

The development of the village has primarily been focussed on family holidays. Nightlife in Leogang is fairly limited but there are many good restaurants offering great food alongside typical Austrian charm and hospitality. In winter there are 5 nights of activities available in the village, twice weekly toboggoning on floodlit slopes, evening skiing on the nursery slopes and a night show at the mountain top. In the summer season there is a special daily children's activity programme offering a full range of summer fun activities .Sport is an important part of the village life, cycling,walking,golf,swimming,climbing are just a few of the sports to be enjoyed.

The Leogang area

Leogang typically celebrates the seasons .Spring and harvest festivels are a focus point of the village. A new project has turned the Asitz mountain peak into an out door summer theatre with dramatic productions and music evenings. Nearby in Saalfelden there is an annual three day Jazz festivel , now in its 31st year it is one of the most significant festivels of its kind, gathering musicians of top quality from around the world.
In June 2010 and again in 2011 and 2012 Leogang hosts the World Cup Mountain Bike championships, closely followed by the European Championships. In September 2012 it will also host the prestigious World Championships Mountain Bike competition.

In winter there are several winter sport competitions and every 2 years there is the Nostalgic Ski Championships. Leogang also plays host to many international race training ski teams.
In 2008 Leogang was team camp village for the Russian National Football team during the Euro 2008 football championships, a testament to the good facitilites for sport that the village offers.
