Home description
The apartment is stylishly furnished and has a comfortable living area with flat screen TV and midi system, a fully equipped and modern kitchen, one double bedroom with access to the outside terrace and a bathroom. Outside the apartment, there is also a small private garden to enjoy.
It is possible to enjoy your stay here without a car. The bus stop is almost next door, and there are frequent boats to all parts of the lake from Lenno. You can stroll out and eat at a different restaurant, pizzeria or bar every night of the week. There is direct access to the lake by cobbled path at the side of the building and forms part of the Lago di Como Greenway path linking the local villages. Local amenities, including 2 supermarkets, banks, post office and pharmacy are a short, level walk away. There is a gated car park with an allocated space.

The Lombardy / Lake Como Area
The Italian Lakes are a little slice of paradise. Elegant ribbons of blue water stretch out ahead, folded into the sun-baked foothills, with a spectacular back drop of the snow-capped Alps.
Warming, inspriing and graced with natural beauty, the lakes are still a place to draw breath and wonder. Lake Como, oriented north-south, ringed by characterful old villages often wedged onto narrow beaches between rugged cliffs and water. Those classic lake images of flower strewn balconies, Baroque gardens and splendid waterside villas can be found here in abundance. Dotted around and between the lakes are some of Italy's finest art cities, such as Milan, Verona & Bergamo.
The most romantic and picturesque villages on the lake are Santa Maria Rezzonico, Varenna (15 min by ferry) & Bellagio (8 min by ferry), Lenno (visit Villa Balbianello, location for 007's Casino Royale as well as Villa Gaeta, right here in Menaggio) & Laglio (where George Clooney owns Villa Oleandra).
Lenno area
Lenno is the oldest village on Lake Como and gets its name from the Greek Island of Lemnos, where the first inhabitants came from to populate this area. It is only a 15 min. drive from the city of Como with its classy shops, boutiques and the famous street market, or a short trip in the hydrofoil, which stops regularly in the harbour of Lenno. A short 5 min. walk from the apartment will take you to the lake promenade with its bars, restaurants, the famous Lido di Lenno offering a made made sandy beach, a shingle beach plus a bar, disco and restaurant. You can also catch the passenger ferry to lakeside towns all over the lake, hire motor boats for the day from the bay of Lenno or catch the water taxi to Villa Balbianello (an alternative to walking to the famous Villa). To the back of the village, various foot paths will bring you past olive groves, a famous monastery and a pilgrims path into the mountains, with some stunning views of the lake and the surrounding mountains.

How to get to our apartment - All 3 Milan Airports – Malpensa, Linate and Milan Bergamo (Orio al Serio) are around 90 minutes away by car. All have good public transport links to Como, and from there to Lenno by bus or boat. If travelling by public transport, make sure you arrive in Milan by early afternoon – the last bus/boat is about 8 pm. Further details on request.
If you would really like to reduce your carbon footprint why not travel by train – from Paris to Milan, or overnight sleeper from Cologne direct to Como.

Cleaning Costs
There is a final cleaning cost of €70 when staying for one week & €90 when staying for two weeks with all bed-linen & towels included. If staying for two weeks or more – the bed-linen & towels will be refreshed after each week. All utility usage such as water, electricity & gas, are included in the rental price.

There are no additional charges for credit card, debit card or bank transfer payments. To make a confirmed booking, you will be asked to fill in our booking form online and pay a 30% deposit. The remaining balance will then be due 6 weeks before arrival.
