This region of the Poitou Charentes is rich in history with many Châtaux to visit, stunning medieval villages and dotted with vineyards. Discover the wines of the Touraine you will not be disappointed. There are many tourist sites L'île de Serpents in La Trimouille, La vallée des Singes in Romagne. Saint-Savin that has 12th century abbey a UNESCO site. The well known Parc du Futuroscope near to Poitiers, not to be missed.

For the more active you will find at Moncontour for water sports and beach.And for garden fanatics the stunning park at Magné 'Le Parc de la Belle' There is so much to do and see here two weeks would still not be long enough! But if you wanted to totally relax you have the calm and tranquility of the verdant countryside with many walks and cycling routes. The capital of La Vienne, Poitiers is full of lively bars and restaurants with boutiques lining it's medieval streets. In the summer there is always a concert to be found in the square.


Gentle rolling hills,doted with fields of sunflowers, vineyards and lovely stone buildings. Take a bicycle ride along the quiet roads and discover deer grazing in the fields. Go wine tasting in the local vineyards, buy a few bottles to take home with you.Or just enjoy the tranquility of Le Picol.
