Modern spacious ground floor 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. Located in the Leith Shore area of Edinburgh providing comfortable accommodation for up to 6 people with the added bonus of private parking, WIFI internet access and Freeview TV.


Leith is the port district of Edinburgh and though it is within easy reach of the city centre with great public transport links, it maintains a strong cultural identity of its own offering plenty of attractions to tempt the tourist away from the city centre. These include the Royal Yacht Britannia which is moored at the Ocean Terminal shopping centre where you will also find a good selection of cafés and restaurants, a multiplex cinema as well as a great selection of shops. Leith festival takes place every June and offers a selection of art, music, comedy dance and drama.

The Shore area of Leith harbours a fantastic selection of restaurants (including Michelin Star) cafes and bars and was voted runner up in the "best Foodie Street" section of the google street view awards of 2010.

Leith Links park is a couple of minutes walk from the apartment and has a fun swing park for the kids, supermarkets, banks, ATM and Post Office are all within a short walk from the apartment.

Apartment Description:

The apartment is attractively decorated and well maintained and is laid out as follows: The living room is light and airy and faces to the front of the apartment. It has a modern fire place and is comfortably furnished with two sofas, one of which doubles as a sofa bed for the use of larger parties. There is a flat screen TV with DVD player and freeview and unlimited WiFi internet access. The dining area is furnished with a dining room table which seats up to 6 guests. A high chair is available on request.

An internal kitchen is well equipped with oven and hob, microwave, toaster and electric kettle, fridge freezer and washing machine. Plenty of glass, china, cutlery and cookware have been provided for guests wishing to eat in the apartment.

The large cupboard in the hall provides storage space for coats and luggage and contains the Hoover, washing basket, ironing board and clothes drying rack.

The well proportioned master bedroom is furnished with a double bed and bed side tables. There is plenty of wardrobe and drawer space provided and an ensuite shower room with slate tiling, shower, basin and WC.

The second bedroom is also of a good size. It can be made up with 2 single beds or as 1 superking sized bed on request, and offers plenty of wardrobe space with drawers.

A family bathroom with bath and shower over, basin and WC also with eye-catching slate tiling completes the accommodation.

Free parking is available with a visitors permit to the front and rear of the apartment. There is also free parking in the areas around the apartment if guests have more than 1 car.

The Edinburgh region


Leith is full of cultural influence and historical architecture, yet calm with waterfront serenity. Leith's 'Shore' area offers an excellent choice of quirky shops, cosy restaurants (including Michelin star), cafes and bars. The Royal Yacht Britannia, Leith Victoria Leisure Centre, Ocean Terminal Shopping Centre and Cinema Complex as well as Leith Links Park with children's playpark are also within walking distance. Joppa and Portobello seaside villages can be reached in 10 minutes by car and make a great day out. The Water of Leith is a lovely walk or cycle through the city from Leith, enjoy the wildlife and a stop at quirky Stockbridge for lunch or a coffee!

The fabulous historic city centre of Edinburgh is only a 15 minute taxi/bus ride away and the bus service in and out of Leith is excellent. Buses go direct to and from the famous Royal Mile as well as other popular parts/destinations in the city centre; Princes Street, George Street, Old Town, New Town, Edinburgh Zoo etc.

Buses to Murrayfield Stadium - there's 2 direct buses from Leith to Murrayfield Stadium (No. 22 ans 12), it takes up to approximately 25 minutes by bus.

The apartment can be reached direct by bus from Edinburgh Airport and Edinburgh train/bus station.

"Comfortable and convenient with parking outside."

It was lovely having the accomodation on one level with parking outside. Very comfortable beds and settees and having two bathrooms made it ideal for two couples sharing. Easy walking distance to The Shore and Ocean Terminal and for buses into Edinburgh.

"Excellent Apartment"

"Excellent 2 Bed Flat with everything you could need for a family break"

The flat was very clean and nicely decorated throughout with a lovely large living / dining room with comfy sofas and wi-fi. There were 2 bathrooms which was a real bonus as my 2 teenage children like to spend lots of time getting ready! It is centrally located in Leith and it is only a short walk to supermarkets and the bus into town (although you can walk to the bottom of Princes St in 20 minutes). We found a fantastic Spanish tapas restaurant just 2 minutes away from the flat on Queen Charlotte Street - It is a great base for a family holiday with so much to do in Edinburgh - the Zoo, shopping, Mary Kings Close, great museums and Ocean Terminal at Leith Waterfront The owner was extremely helpful and sorted out a problem that we had with one of the heaters straight away.
