Our Lochend Park View Apartment in Edinburgh is the ideal hub from which to access Edinburgh City Centre and Princes Street, be it for business or pleasure. We are just about 15-20 minutes walk from the Scottish Parliament, The Royal Residence at Holyrood Palace, the Royal Mile, Princes St. Playhouse,Artur's Seat and most of the main attractions in Scotland's capital city. Located in the modern Horizon development next to Lochend Loch and Lochend Park.
Our apartment is also ideally situated for access to The Shore in Leith, where you will find a plentiful supply of pubs,restaurants, including Michelin Star dining and the Royal Yacht Britannia in Ocean Terminal Shopping Centre. Also nearby the apartment there is very good bus connection available with 24 hour service and a Tesco super store open till midnight
Direct bus number 35 from Edinburgh Airport to the apartment, ticket cost £1.50 per person( bus stop next to the apartment is called Brunswick Road) or taxi cost approx £25.00.
DESCRIPTION OF THE APARTMENT
Sleep uo to 6 guests.The apartment is on the 3rd floor with lift access in the building. There is a living room with large sofa bed, coffee table, flat screen TV, DVD and French windows that open to a balcony where you can enjoy morning tea or coffee with a superb view over the park and the pond. The dining area has a big table with 5 chairs.
The apartment is fully equipped with kitchen appliances: large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, oven and hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, washing machine/dryer, cutlery and crockery.
The master bedroom has an en-suite with a stand in electric shower cubicle, a double bed, a good size built-in wardrobe and big double windows with a superb view of the Carlton Hill and Arthur's Seat.
The 2nd bedroom has 2 twin beds, a built-in wardrobe and a view of the park. The main bathroom has a bath with an over bath shower. There is a separate cupboard for shoes and jackets.
The building also has a secure entry system and CCTV.
Double glazing and gas central heating. Free Wi-fi internet access.
We provide a 'meet and greet' service, whereby we will meet you at the property to hand over keys, show you the layout, provide local information and answer any questions you may have.
(Alternative time check-in, check-out can be arranged directly with the property owner before arrival,free of charge).
Upon arrival, your apartment will contain a complimentary welcome pack to get you started, so you won't have to worry about tracking down the local shops on your first night for those essential items;
coffee, tea, sugar, milk and set of basic cleaning products (washing powder, washing machine tablets, liquid for dishes, liquid soap, toilet paper, garbage bags).

Very good bus connection available with 24 hour service.From Easter Road bus no 1 will take you in 5 min to Princes St. ,bus 35 will take you to Royal Mile and the Old Town or in the opposite direction to the Shore and Ocean Terminal. Bus from London Road will take you to Zoo and Murrayfield Stadium or in the opposite direction to Portobello Beach.

This was our second stay with Slavek and we enjoyed it as much as lat time. Excellent hospitality and great facilities. The location is superb, with a great view of the Arthur's Seat that dominates the city and a walking distance from the Queen's palace. The apartment offers great value for money, with two bathrooms and bedrooms and a comfortable living space with well-equipped kitchen. A great place for experiencing Edinburgh and its local areas, which provide more than enough for several weeks of intense sight-seeing.

"Great apartment, great host"
The apartment is very clean, modern and nicely furnished/decorated, in a nice quiet location overlooking Lochend Park. The owner, Slawomir, could not have been more welcoming, giving us a whistle-stop tour of the facilities and lots of tips for local attractions, restaurants and coffee shops, before leaving us alone with his phone number and a sincere offer to call any time if we needed anything (we didn't). It's about 30 mins walk to the city centre and not on a bus route, which may be a problem for some without a car, but it didn't bother us as we love walking and taxis were reliable and cheap when we needed them. All in all, a great base for our visit to the Commonwealth Games.

"Great apartment and perfect for my family's needs."
We had a great experience with Slawomir and this flat rental. The place was easy to find, had plenty of parking for our big van, and was a good cozy size even for my family of 6 (grandma, parents, brother, sister in law, and me). There were two bathrooms with plenty of towels (but you do need to bring your own shampoo and body wash as that was not provided). One master bedroom with connecting shower, one room with two twin beds and the sofa bed were provided with pillows and sheets. Slawomir, the owner, was very receptive and flexible to our changes in arrival time. He provided a welcome kit with tea and coffee and milk. The flat overlooked a lovely park. We had a lovely time and would definitely recommend if you are visiting Edinburgh.
Cannot comment on ease of access without a car since we had a rental car and drove everywhere we needed.

Slawomir met us at the apartment and showed us how to get about the complex re: parking, lifts etc. He had also left a welcome pack of tea, coffee and milk. The apartment was SPOTLESS and very comfortable. We really felt as if we were in the lap of luxury. It is situated behind Hibernian FC off Easter Road. It cost £6.50 for a taxi into town ( family of 5) and was only a 20 minute walk from Arthur's Seat and Calton Hill. I would have no hesitation in recommending this place as I have every intention of returning in the not too distant future.

This holiday let is excellent. It is the second time I have stayed there, and will not hesitate to stay again. The flat is convenient for the centre of Edinburgh, and also Leith which is an area we like. The landlord is extremely helpfull, and nothing is too much trouble for him. Coupled with this the flat is spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped.
