The Gloucestershire region

The Cotswolds run through Cheltenham and Gloucester, and many villages in this area have their sleepy and picturesque feel. Cheltenham became a popular spa in the 18th century, and its Regency architecture remains very well preserved.

Tewkesbury is home to the beautiful Abbey, one of the most popular spots in the Midlands for visitors. Stow-on-the-Wold is the highest point on the Cotswolds and Gloucester has a magnificent cathedral. The area is also home to Berkeley Castle, a medieval castle where Edward II was imprisoned and murdered.

Leigh

Cirencester remains an important regional attraction and claims the title "The Capital of the Cotswolds".

The property nestles on the edge of the Cotswolds and is near to Cotswold Water Parks, Ideal location for Cheltenham races, Fairford and Kemble Air Show, Badminton and Gatcombe horse trials.

"Nice place"

My husband and I stayed few days at the Chestnuts in April 2013. The place is very nice, clean and light, very well organised. The cottage is of good size and has everything you need. I had few questions before the trip and sent emails to the owner, Peter, and he did respond immediately and was very helpful. The same during our stay - Peter welcomed us nicely, and gave various tips where to go and what to do in the area. Nice garden around the place, lovely view from the window - lots of birds! We really enjoyed staying at the Chestnuts and I would like again to say our Thank you to Peter!

"ideal hideaway in beautiful location"

we stayed in this lovely little cottage for a week in august. it was such a home from home in all aspects....... the welcome we received from peter and rae and all the little touches made this a perfect holiday for us. The location allowed us to travel all through the cotswolds enjoying all the many beautiful little villages and to return to our sunny little patio every evening was just a joy. Looking forward to our next visit already.
