Apothiki is a beautifully renovated, completely independent apartment situated on the ground level of Villa Sofia. It has one bedroom, and a living room with sofa bed. The open plan kitchen has beautiful granite counters and includes a bar space for eating inside. There is also a storage room with washing machine, and a spacious modern bathroom. It is tastefully furnished and equipped with all the modern conveniences. The king size bed in the bedroom can be divided into twin beds.
The west facing, covered veranda is ideal for alfresco dining. Apothiki is less than 100 metres from the beautiful sandy main beach of Stoupa and sits in in a quiet, private garden. It is built with 50 cm thick stone walls which make it cool in summer and warm in winter. All windows and doors are double glazed. The windows are also equipped with screens. It is ideal for a couple or a family with 2 small children. SPECIAL NOTE: For sailors, a sun fish sailboat is available for use.

The Peloponnese region
The Mani region of Greece lies in the southernmost part of the Peloponnese. Starting at Kalamata, it follows the Taygetos mountain range south to Cape Tenaron. Combining picturesque mountain villages with their stone tower-houses and lovely seaside villages, the Mani is a place of extraordinary beauty. From the wall of Verga, just south of the modern city of Kalamata, to villages of traditional Mani Fighting Towers in the southern end of the peninsula, the Mani is a region where the past and present coexist in close proximity.
Scant kilometres from fishing villages with modern hotels, restaurants and internet cafes catering to summer tourists lie beautiful mountain villages, nestled amid olive groves, that have changed little in the last hundred years. While a popular spring and summer destination for European and American travelers, the Mani is untouched by the commercial mass-tourism industry. The towns retain their small village atmosphere and visitors do not have to fight crowds at the beaches or restaurants.
Lefktron / Stoupa area
Stoupa is a coastal village in the unspoiled Mani region. The village is built around three bays, two of which have sand beaches that are among the most beautiful on the Mani Peninsula. They are well suited for families because of the shallow waters near the shore. The third bay has a pebble beach, and is ideal for snorkeling.
The village is set amongst olive groves with the Taygetos Mountains rising to the east. The climate is mild in winter, possibly the warmest in continental Europe. Stoupa is within easy reach of a 24 hour medical centre (2 km), and one hour from the major city of Kalamata.
How to get there
Most of our guests come to Athens Airport. Go on---> With a RENTAL CAR: From Athens Airport follow the signs to Elefsina, Korinth, Tripolis, Megalopis, through Kalamata at harbor follow signs to Stoupa. Via COACH: From the Airport take bus X93 to the final stop inside the main bus terminal for the Pelopponese. Take one of the frequent coaches to Kalamata,(around 16.50 Euro) and then a taxi to Stoupa. (28 Euro) Via TAXI: Taxis at the Airport will likely be willing to drive to Stoupa. Negotiate the fee in advance. Expect the trip to cost (180) Euro. OTHER: Via Ferry to Patras or Flight to Araksos Airport. Follow signs from Patras - Pirgos-Kalo Nero-Kalamata-Stoupa.

There is a store room with washing machine and fully tiled bathroom with a lot of light. The bathroom is equipped with a spacious shower.
Further details outdoors: There is a covered veranda facing the west and the garden. It is very well suited for alfresco dining. Towards the south, is a patio that is very good for sun bathing and relaxing. The garden has various fruit trees such as orange, lemon, fig, pomegranate, apricots, mulberry etc.
SPECIAL NOTE: For sailors, a sun fish sailboat is available for use.

The rental rates are all inclusive. 25 % deposit of the cost with the booking and the rest 4 weeks prior to arrive. For special payment arrangements, talk to the owner. There is a charge of 35 Euro for the end of the visit cleaning.
