About the home

An exclusive retreat nestled amongst the hills offering spectacular panoramic views to the islands of Skorpios and Megannissi. A short 5 min drive brings you to the local harbour town where, shops, banks, restaurants and all amenities including mooring are available.

The interior designed villa has been styled using rare fabrics & antiques from throughout the world.

There are 4 en suite bedrooms, and a luxury fitted kitchen overlooks landscaped gardens with terrace, al fresco dining area, pool and jacuzzi. A large octagonal lounge contains 40" TV/DVD, plus 24/7 web/wi-fi connection and Sonos villa-wide sound system. On the first floor, an octagonal Hammock Tower is a sumptuous relaxation area with spectacular views.

With easy access from the ground floor, a 200sq metre patio features; private 45sq.m. walk-in swimming pool (with 10 sun beds); barbecue area; shaded dining area; open air lounge with the much loved fire table and panoramic views of the surrounding olive groves and Lefkas's eastern coastline- including the island of Scorpios, owned by the Onassis shipping Family.

The patio area is ideal for barbecues, parties, corporate events, family celebrations - and even wedding receptions! (we did two weddings this year:-) Catering can be arranged on request, as can live music and other entertainment.

Steps lead down from the patio to a totally private walled garden featuring four-person Jacuzzi, from where you can enjoy spectacular views of the dramatic high mountains to the west, lying beyond a valley of olive and lemon groves.

Villa Octavius's garden has been landscaped with a series of stone terraces and surrounding flower beds, specially planted with blooms and herbs that give off a delightful scent from dusk onwards.

Located on its own hilltop at the end of a secluded road, the villa has gated entrance, with parking sufficient for four vehicles.

The Ionian Islands region

There are many excellent beaches on the island of Lefkas, the water is clear and clean - and the sea temperatures are perfect for swimming for many months of the year.

The closest beaches are less than five minutes' drive away - and to the north, near Lefkas town, Windmill beach is world famous for kite-surfing. To the south, at Vassiliki, the beach is one of the best in Europe for windsurfing and catamaran sailing. Full snorkelling equipment can be rented at the villa, and a guided snorkelling trips can be provided on request.

The Lefkas area

Nearby Nidri (3km/5mins by car) is an attractive coastal town and resort with shops, bars, banks and tavernas. At the excellent beach, you can enjoy water-skiing, parascending and other water-sports- and a delightful coastal promenade has a choice of cafes and restaurants from where you can watch the ocean-going activities of yachts, small island ferries and pleasure craft.
