This magnificent period home is set to become one of the region's most desirable holiday homes offering the very best in self catering accommodation, set within spacious surroundings and in complete privacy. Internally the owner is making the most of the classic features the house offers (enormous rooms with huge windows) and mixing these imaginatively with contemporary furniture and furnishings that together make this an unforgettable experience. With such space and a lovely 'feel', the house is certain to become first choice for groups who want the very best in fine accommodation.

Externally, the house sits on the edge of the village, with its own grounds surrounding on all sides, including a large and private garden, a paddock plus additional barns. Collectively there is ample space for families or groups of all ages to 'spread out' and feel completely relaxed. We're delighted to be able to offer such a unique and attractive home for holiday rentals and feel quite certain that guests will revel about its undoubted charm and appeal.

The house can accept additional numbers (to a maximum of 17 people) however it must be stressed that the dining table can accommodate a maximum of 16. There is an additional dining table in the breakfast room.

The Lechlade area

Lechlade is a small attractive riverside town on the edge of the Cotswolds. Lechlade (once Letchlade, which explains its pronunciation), is situated beside the Thames about 11 miles east of Cirencester, 12 miles north of Swindon and about 20 miles west of Oxford

Further to the north are the Cotswolds as well as everpopular Burford. Burford is an ideal centre for visiting The Cotswolds area as it is within easy driving distance of popular attractions such as Blenheim Palace, Sudley Castle, Warwick Castle and several National Trust Houses and Gardens. Bourton on the Water, Bibury, Cirencester and Stow on the Wold are all within a 25 minute drive of the property.

“Celebration Weekend” The appearance of the house is wonderful! Inside the space is also amazing and so much could be achieved without extra expense. Sadley I had to inform the letting company and the person I assumed was the owner of little things that would have lifted our experience. One bedronn (mine), light buld on bedside table didnt work, no pillow cases on the single bed for my grandaughter. Bedroom window sealed shut with paint but there were lots of flies in all the windows. No heating in that bedroom that worked either. Pedestal mat in my bathroom very shabby and cheap shower gel in all bedrooms. Also poor plumbing in this bathroom. Chimney needed sweeping as it smoked very badly indeed. Downstairs toilet shabby - boiler front exposed and poor tiling. NO MOBILE SIGNAL either!! NOT 5 Star standard for Visit Britain. I would recommend if standards were improved.

A 2 or 3 night break costs 75% of the weekly rate

A 4 night break costs 85% of the weekly rate

5 nights and over are charged at the full weekly rate.

Costs include heating electricity and bed linen. Payment can be taken by cheque, debit card (preference) or credit card (subject to 2% charge).
