About the home
Self-catering with a difference, our private chef is available to deliver home-cooked typical Puglia cuisine to the door. Our Welcome Basket has been described as "the best we have ever seen" by previous guests and gets you started on your holiday without having to rush out to the supermarket as soon as you arrive. All contributing to a relaxing holiday.
We've equipped Villa Rosa in the way that we would like a villa to be when we go on holiday. From the fully equipped kitchen, all bed linen and towels provided, hair-dryers in both bedrooms, tv/dvd player with english channels, dvd library, books galore (including cook books and travel guides), loads of information about the area, jigsaw puzzles and games and more.
Whether you want to relax by the pool, explore the historic centres of the delightful towns all within easy reach, visit "Trulli Country" or simply enjoy "La Dolce Vita" the way the Italians do, Villa Rosa is the place for you.
Our visitor guide has been described by previous guests as "Better than the Lonely Planet". With 5 years or experience with villa rentals, many returning guests and living not far away we are able to provide a "concierge service " as and when required.

Walled and gated, the villa has a lovely green garden to the front, cool and shady even on the hottest of days. With pear, tangerine and lemon trees as well as plenty of flowering shrubs, a delight to the eyes.
To the rear of the villa, from wide patio doors, walk out into a courtyard full of sunshine and the private 5m x 10 swimming pool. With an overflowing flower garden at the end of the courtyard, a huge lemon tree and a shaded area perfect for eating al-fresco, here you can soak up the sun, swim or play in the pool or simply relax.
There are gates either side of the house and a child gate is available for the patio doors, providing a safe place for small children to play in the front gardens and restricting their access to the pool area.

The Puglia/Molise region

Planning your vacation? Then, consider Puglia, Southern Italy. Right down on the heel of the boot, Puglia is just about as far south as you can go in Italy. Long a holiday destination for Italians now you can discover the secrets of Puglia. This is your chance to experience Italian life as the Italians live it. If you crave the heat of the southern sun and the warmth of the southern Italians this is the place for you.
But don't expect noisy nightclubs, all-day breakfasts, fish and chips, roast dinners. This is not Ibitha, Tenerife or other well known tourist hot spots. Neither is it the South of France. Sometimes shabby, some what down at the heel in places, this is the real Italy. Here you will find acres of peaceful olive groves, sandy beaches, rocky coastlines, amazing architecture, years of history, restaurants from the simple trattoria to the more up-market masseria (and the food is excellent at both).
The Lecce / Casa L'Abate area
After you have spent some time relaxing by the pool or on one of the nearby beaches there is plenty to do locally. All the towns in the area have charming historic centres, view the architecture, the churches and cathedrals, stroll around, stop for cappucino, a glass of wine or lunch. Drive down the coastline to Santa Maria de Leuca visiting Otranto on the way, and back up the Ionian coastline maybe calling in on Gallipoli for dinner. Our extensive visitor guide, which has been compared favourably with the Lonely Planet guide, will give you plenty of ideas.
If you feel like being more active consider wind-surfing, kite-surfing, a round of golf, tennis, horse-riding and much much more.
Want to be pampered? Our local health and beauty centre provides all the treatments you could want, manicures, pedicures, facials, massage, steam room and exercise sessions for the energetic. Guests at Villa Rosa will benefit from a 5% discount on all treatments.
