The Baltic Sea/Pomerania Coast region
North European climate - cold winters and hot summers.
The region is a fabulous location for those who love the countryside; beautiful coast lines, world famous sand dunes, natural lakes and forests are all on your doorstep.
A major attraction of this region is the tri-city of Gdynia, Gdansk and Sopot - each very different cities with unique activities on offer.
Gdansk is one of the most beautiful and historical cities in Poland. Historically an important seaport since medieval times and subsequently a principal ship-building centre, Gdańsk was a member of the Hanseatic League. The city is famous worldwide as the birthplace of the Solidarity movement which, under the leadership of Lech Wałęsa, played a major role in bringing an end to Communist rule in the Eastern Bloc.
Sopot is a large health-spa and tourist resort destination, well known for the longest wooden pier in Europe, the Molo (at 515.5 meters), from which one can see the Gulf of Gdańsk. The city is also famous for its Sopot International Song Festival, the largest such event in Europe after the Eurovision Song Contest.
Gdynia is home to some fantastic shopping and a beauitful marina. It merges together with Sopot and Gdansk. The tricity has some fantastic restaurants and bars, for groups of friends and families of all ages.
Regardless as to whether your holiday is to be relaxing or fun-filled, the Pomerania coast is the ideal destination.
Leba area
Amber Farm is a beautiful farmhouse set in the countryside of Poland, surrounded by fields and forests, just 15km from the coast line and the popular seaside resort of Leba. Some 15 km to the south is the pleasant, historic town of Lebork, which is on the main road between Gdansk and Szczecin.
The Dominican Fair (Jarmark Dominikanski), the longest-running event in Gdansk, which dates to 1260. It is a must-see without a doubt and takes place throughout August each year.
Sarbsko lake is just 10km from the farm and a great place for windsurfing. Lebsko lake on the otherhand is more suitable for sailing.
Amber Farm is located in the tiny village of Gaska (Polish for gosling). Shops are just a short drive away.
How to get there
Amber Farm can easily be reached from Gdansk airport, which is regularly serviced by Wizz Air, Ryan Air, British Airways & LOT Airways.
