Primrose cottage is located in the rural hamlet of Greenhouses Farm, set within the peaceful, beautiful North York Moors. Just 10 miles(20 minute drive) from the historic fishing port of Whitby and 2 miles from the nearest picture postcard village of Lealholm. The cottage is a bit dated and basic but has all it needs and is clean and warm. A new combi boiler will be fitted in early January 2015 with new kitchen and carpets to follow

The Yorkshire region
From Whitby towards Guisborough on the A171 for about 5-6 miles. As the road bears right take the left turn off signposted Lealholm / Glaisdale. Follow the road down and back up past Stonegate, over the cattle grid and at the brow of the hill turn right. Continue til you see the signpost GREENHOUSES ONLY - Turn left - follow the lane and we are the 1st buildings on the right hand side.
From Middlesbrough / Guisborough on the A171 towards Whitby. Stay on the A171 past Scaling Dam and The Grapes pub. Keep an eye out for signs for Ugthorpe. A short distance after this there will be a right turn signposted Lealholm, take this turn and follow the lane all the way down and back up the other side. Just as you get to the brow of the hill - Turn right signposted GREENHOUSES ONLY - Follow the lane and we are the 1st buildngs on the right.
We are set in our own land and located within the beautiful North York Moors national park, 10 miles (20 minute drive) from the historic fishing port of Whitby and 2 miles from the picture postcard village of Lealholm. Our region has some real gems to visit...Whitby town - Robin hoods bay - Goathland - Sandsend - Scarborough - Filey and Saltburn are just a few places along the coast and inland worth a visit.
The area around Greenhouses farm is a peaceful space with plenty of wildlife to hear and watch while you wind down. The green rolling hills and moorland are gorgeous to look at all year round.
