The Rhône-Alpes region
Paradiski (consisting of Les Arcs, Peisey-Vallandry and La Plagne resorts) is recommended for all standards of skiing from Beginner to Advanced. The resort offers a wide variety of slopes with moguls, off-piste and a snow park where all are welcome. Paradiski provides some of the Alps’ best skiing and snowboarding and we can guarantee you won’t get bored.
Les Arcs: Internationally renowned for its architecture and a pioneer of newschool snow sports, Les Arcs is the most avant-garde of the resorts. Spread over 5 sites, this is a destination that allows you to mix sporting activities with a lavish lifestyle and a host of cultural delights.
Peisey-Vallandry: Peisey-Vallandry encompasses 5 Savoie villages that cultivate the Alpine way of life. This authentic village resort, perched at an altitude 1,600 m, is located by a forest on the sunniest face of the Les Arcs massif and provides an unforgettable view of the Mont Blanc, Beaufortain and Tarentaise ranges.
La Plagne: Facing Mont Blanc, la Plagne is an assembly of 10 resorts, all of which can be reached on skis. Each of them has a different atmosphere and personality (6 high-altitude resorts and 4 village resorts). La Plagne is known for its great diversity and unique activities. It is the only resort in France to have an Olympic bobsleigh run and an artificial Ice Tower.
Peisey-Nancroix is where our beautiful chalet is located in the heart of the Paradiski Area. This authentic village resort, perched at an altitude 1,400 m, is located by a forest on the sunniest face of the Les Arcs massif and provides an unforgettable view of the Mont Blanc, Beaufortain and Tarentaise ranges.
Peisey village is one of a few traditional villages with its own bakery, cheese shop and butchers working along side the local hotel and bar. Peisey is a much more peaceful village to have your holiday in, yet we are only a short taxi ride from the bigger resort of Plan Peisey and Vallandry where you will find more bars, restaurants and evening entertainment.
In the village the local bars are more traditional and have a wonderful community feel about them, nevertheless we’ve had many, many guests comment on the fun and lively atmosphere Peisey has to offer, and even we’ve been known to join in the festivities!
You can see the Vanoise Express from your chalet, and we are so accessible to La Plagne ski area as well as Peisey Vallandry and Les Arcs, you wont get bored. If you have a mixed ability of skiiers in your party then this is the place for you catering for all level of skiers and snowboarders, as well as offering those non-skiing activities to the few that would prefer to stay on flatter land!

"Great friendly comfortable and inexpensive chalet holiday"
We took the chalet as a whole and all 15 of the group were extremely pleased with the level of service, quality of food and general standard of the accommodation. We will certainly be using the chalet again if we are able to.

"Great Chalet, Great Location, Great Food, Great people"
What can I say, I had a great time in this really good ski chalet. I have stayed in a few chalets now and this by far is the best. Food was fantastic more than enough and wine a drinks were flowing. The rooms were a good size and all had bathrooms. The beds weren't the biggest, but better than I have had before. The Village is really nice, ideal for families I would say, but its a quick ride up the lobster pots to more bars etc. and a great mountain for skiing / snowboarding. The hosts were really nice and wasn't in your face, they cooked the food made sure you didn't require anything and left you alone...which is great for your own space etc.

"Great Food, Amazing Hosts, perfect place to stay"
The resort has access to some great skiing. But for me it’s the hole holiday that makes me want to go back to resorts. The Chalet is not a typical holiday Chalet, you can see Sarah personal attention to detail from the bedrooms to the living rooms. For example, flowers, matching towels, proper lamp shades make the stay more homely. Food / Drink is always an important part of the holiday, once again Sarah and Matt did not disappoint. In fact they have set the bench mark for others to live up to. In short GREAT food. Being lazy I like Ski in and Ski out, while the chalet does not have this facility Matt and Sarah drive you to the Ski sloops ion the morning and collect you in the evening. If you get back early simple leave your skis in the van. I have only ever visited one other ski resort and Chalet and that was in Whistler. I will however be going back to visit Sarah and Matt once the ski season kicks off again.

"Amazing - would highly recommend - went out of their way to make our stay fantastic"
If you are coming to this part of the Alps there is only one place to stay - Whitebeam Chalet! If you want a weeks skiing without having to worry about anything, where you can sit back and relax and everything is taken care for you then look no further. Sarah, Matt and Emily looked after us so well right from the beginning - from helping to organise ski hire, ski lessons, ski passes, airport transfers, getting to and from the ski lifts, organising dinner for us on their night off (and joining us which was lovely!). The food is fantastic!! The sheer amount and quality of food you get, along with the great service, and not forgetting the delicious variety of wines - it is such great value to stay at the Whitebeam Chalet. Cannot miss mentioning the daily afternoon freshly baked cake too to come home to after a day out on the slopes! You can then spend the evening relaxing by the log fire, playing games, watching dvds or just hanging out chatting with your fellow chalet holidaymakers! My friend and I had an amazing week, met some great people, we could not fault it in the slightest and we did not want to leave! Thanks so much Sarah, Matt, Emily and not forgetting the gorgeous baby Sebastian and puppy Mojo! :) Hils x

"Fantastic stay at a great chalet, with excellent food and hosts"
For the second year in a row we have had an amazing time in les arcs thanks to Matt, Sarah and Emily. Although the chalet is not ski in-ski out, this is more than made up for by the beautiful setting and Matt driving you to the bottom of the lifts in the morning (only 5 mins away). The food was superb all week (especially the tartiflette and Mike's birthday cake - thanks again Emily), and the hosts couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. We would definitely recommend this chalet to anyone wanting to visit the region. The skiing in les Arcs was really good, and the area large enough to keep us occupied for the week.

"A very welcoming chalet with great food"
We stayed here for Christmas 2012. The chalet was clean, warm, welcoming and well laid out, and Matt and Emily looked after us very well. The food was delicious, but not too fancy, and Emily always managed to serve an alternative if there was part of the meal that someone didn't like. The beds were a little basic, but actually we found them very comfortable. It's a 5-10 minute walk to the ski lift, but there was a minibus to take us down every morning, and the possibility of a lift back too, and the walk was ok. We would definitely consider staying here again.

"Great hosts, great chalet !"
Matt and Sarah are great chalet hosts, friendly and helpful. The food is consistently good - plenty for breakfast, a yummy cake in the afternoon - kids tea specially cooked at 6pm and a proper grown up 3 course meal with wine when kids are in bed ! The highlight for me was a duck cassoulet and chocolate mousse.... Location is good in La villaret a 5 minute walk to bottom of "lobster pot" lift which takes you up to Peisey where the Vanoise lift to La Plagne goes from. Matt will drive you down there and back if you can't face that walk ! The village has a shop, restaurant and a bar too for the night off - recommend the fondue ! Loved Les Arc for good intermediate skiing, and ESF were good to the 7 year old....We all had a little go doing the snow park jumps as well - great fun. We had 2 delightful nannies who cared for the little ones back at the chalet. Overall chalet is comfortable and cozy and child friendly - cots, baby listeners, bed guards, stair gates and a nintendo wii all provided! The walls are a little thin so think if your friends snore loudly or have nocturnal children...I was so tired I slept through all noise ! I would recommend this chalet to anyone wanting to be well cared for but unpretentious hearty food and company ! Sarah and Matt will go out of their way to make sure you have an enjoyable hassle free holiday.

"Fantastic food for someone with special dietary needs"
The people who ran the chalet - Sarah & Matt - couldn't have done more for us. Sarah made really excellent food everyday for me as a non dairy vegetarian - a real treat! It is a lovely location - a real Alpine village - & Sarah & Matt ferried us daily to & from the nearby access to the main ski lifts & made it comfortable for the kids & the parents. It was a very relaxed chalet & large, interesting ski area with plenty of really nice runs for intermediates & beginners - & almost no flat runs for snowboarders! I would definitely go back, for all of it - the resort, the village and the chalet.

"welcoming and friendly hosts who try to go that extra mile for you"
Sarah and Matt try really hard to make you feel at home, to provide extra little somethings in the room and the communal areas to give a sense of luxury. As it was, we didn't use the slippers or the complimentary toiletries but the thought meant a lot. An example of the extra special moments were: we asked for a cheese course which we paid extra for and they found some gorgeous local cheeses for us each night - they should offer that extra to all their guests! we loved it! Sarah rescued one of our team off the slopes which she didn't have to do and that was really caring of her. The chalet isn't the most luxurious and nor are the beds, but it was a great place with super friendly hosts. Excellent value for money too.

"A Great Welcome"
We have stayed with Sarah & Matt twice now; following them to their new chalet this year. They are friendly hosts who make you feel extremely welcome and nothing is too much trouble, with both going out of their way to ensure that you have a great holiday experience. Both Sarah and Matt 'the hero' as he became known to our 12 year old - happily skied with us on a couple of days and joined us for a beer at the bar at the end of the day. Our ski pass was organised in advance and ski's fitted at the chalet by a mobile service - a first for us which proved to be a good decision, with all kit being newer than in the hire shops and no delays with queuing for fitting/returns. Food is excellent, from breakfast through to afternoon cakes/bread & jams right into the 3 course evening meal. The chalet is set along the village from the foot of the lobster pots and is only a minute in the minibus/car. The rooms are clean, modern and comfortable. The balcony has fabulous views and is an enjoyable place to read your book in the winter sunshine - just need a deck chair and this would be my idea of perfect!
