The St Josse farmhouse is tastefully furnished in a traditional style with numerous sleigh beds and ivory furniture. Each bedroom will be a favourite the only problem is deciding which one to sleep in. The lounge dining area is a large friendly communal space ideal for socialising with your friends and family. If it all becomes too much then escape to the games room equipped with TV/Video/CD/DVD playstation, books and bar football. The Pas-de-Calais offers a stunning coastline rich in bird life, sporting activities and some excellent cuisine.
Le Touquet is the jewel in the crown of the Opal Coast, a favourite escape for Oscar Wilde this fashionable coastal resort is surrounded by immense pine forests and smart villas. Boulogne has its 19th century basilica and huge dome which is seen for miles around. Inland the old historical walled town of Montreuill is nearby with some great walks and 17th century houses. The Cathedral in Amiens is well worth a visit, the largest in France it was built with the proceeds of woad sales - a plant valued for its blue dye.
Le Touquet area
This spacious self catering farmhouse is an ideal location for exploring Le Touquet, historical Montreill and the surrounding area. Local attractions include the adventure park at Berck, the Aqualude Water Park in Le Touquet and many other easily accessible activities such as Sailing, Tennis, Water therapy, Horse riding and Golf. Le Touquet really does have something to offer all year round.
Your holiday accommodation is situated within the beautiful village of St Josse, with its wonderful church, chateaux and amazing restaurant. The village restaurant and bakery are about 2 minutes walk from the house. Summer brings the Brocante (Street Market) which is a real must when the whole village is alive with stalls selling all sorts of wonderful items. The village is proud of its flowers and shows them off with brilliance all summer long.. The sandy beaches of Le Touquet and Stella Plage are all within a 10 minute drive.
How to get there
Cross the English Channel by using the fast Speedferry service from Dover to Boulogne or alternatively use one of the other operators (Sea France, Hoverspeed or P&O Ferries) from Dover to Calais. From Calais take the A16 South to Le Touquet. The farmhouse is located in the pretty village of St Josse about 15 minutes outside Le Touquet. Total journey time once in France about 40 minutes. Alternatively for a great experience you can fly direct from Lydd airport in Kent (Lydd Air) or from Brighton City (Euroexec.com) direct to Le Touquet airport. The St Josse farmhouse is a short 10 minute taxi ride from the airport.
