The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Vaucluse region
Set amongst fruit orchards in the heart of the Vaucluse, Villa St Julienne is an ideal place for exploring Provençe.
Surrounded by the mountains of Mount Ventoux and the Dentelles, the Luberon and the Alpilles, the environment is perfect for all outdoor activities, visiting historical towns and monuments, (Avignon is only 20 minutes by car) shopping in colourful Provençal markets or simply relaxing in tranquility and sunshine around the pool
The area is perfect for riding bicycles, mountain biking, and hiking.
Wine tasting is very popular and the Côtes du Rhône vineyards are everywhere, with local "Caves Dégustation" for tasting and buying local produce. The famous towns of Chàteauneuf-du-Pape and Beaumes-de-Venise are also only 20 minutes away.
As tour guides for biking holidays, the owners will be more than happy to give you ideas on where to go and what to see, recommend restaurants etc.
Le Thor area
Situated close to the small town of Le Thor, Fontaine-de-Vaucluse and L'Isle sur-la-Sorgue, with its antiques markets, outdoor restaurants and river cafes, are only ten minutes away

Further details indoors: The first floor provides a wonderful panoramic view of the garden. Much consideration has been taken to make this villa something special, utilising its extraordinary design of high beamed ceilings, wide doors, outside terrace and sheer sense of open space to maximum effect.
Bedroom 1 has a double bed, wooden floors, fitted wardrobes, leading directly to large en suite bathroom with walk in power shower, white Victorian bath, double sinks, lots of light and Moroccan style cupboard
Bedrooms 2 & 3 are large rooms with double beds, wooden floors, fitted wardrobes, big windows, both leading to shared en suite bathroom with tiled shower and two sinks
Leading off from the main hallway are the ground floor bedrooms, both with beautiful French doors leading directly out on to the garden terrace. These are wonderfully light and tastefully furnished with double beds, mirrors, bedside tables with lamps, wardrobes and share a modern bathroom directly next door with beautiful large walk in limestone tiled power shower, W.C. and wash basin.
The upstairs Kitchen/Dining Area is approached via a downstairs hallway, the sweeping staircase leads you up to an open-plan, completely modernised kitchen, with granite work surfaces, American style fridge, designer cooker, bar with stools, all appliances and door leading directly onto outside terrace.
On the other side of the room is the indoor dining table with chairs and large window. If you are renting both spaces, there is a door in the downstairs hallway for easy access between the two.
The attraction of the lounge is it's huge fireplace and high beamed ceilings, with large double french doors leading out onto the wide balcony/terrace with outside dining table and chairs and separate BBQ. Comfortable sofas are set amongst coffee tables, rugs, chests and bookshelves with a Sky Digital satellite TV, video and playstation 2
Further details outdoors: You can make use of the wooden garden furniture for dining in the evenings, or in the shade during the day, or use the loungers for relaxing in the tranquil private gardens or by the pool
A variety of mature trees, including cherries, olive and fig, combine to create a beautiful enclosed garden with large lawn.
The outside terrace leads directly onto the garden and a spacious, tiled, fenced-in pool area, 10.5m X 5.5m pool, with BBQ under the shelter and sun loungers.
The house is South-West facing for sunshine all day long and is surrounded by orchards and fields ensuring safety and complete privacy. Floodlights in the pool, under the abri and trees around the pool create the perfect evening ambiance.
The villa provides two separate entrances, both with electric gates, and ample secure parking with shelter from the sun for cars.
Further details
At the end of your stay the owner organises the final cleaning of the house which is included in the rental price and you have the option to rent bed linen and towels for €15 per room per week.
Should your stay be during the winter months the owner may ask you for an additional €50 to cover heating costs.
A high chair and cot are available upon request. Please note the owners have a large dog, which lives in an adjoining building to this apartment.
